It is clear that this half-elf has the right to be wherever he is. Despite his thin and frail frame, his fashionable clothing and proud bearing clearly communicate his noble heritage. Always networking, he is is an aggressive flatterer and entertainer, happily drawing focus in parties with his skilled performances on shawm and horn. When idle, he can be found softly blowing a melody on his panpipes between sips of wine.
Karvir is the 5th born of 7, and 4th in line for the Whitmond estate. His mother is an elf from the north and comes from a petty-noble lineage. His father is a low-ranked baron but does well enough to be well received by others of higher status. Karvir's father oversees and taxes the farming activity surrounding a small. Recently, sulfur deposits were discovered on his lands. Karvir has been tasked with finding suitable trade for the sulfur once mining operations begin, tho Karvir's father isn't really expecting much from his aloof son.
Karvir is a devout follower of Kelemvor, god of death, as is tradition among the Whitmond line. He has taken well to the tenets of Kelemvor and feels they reflect his own personal mores. Death need not be feared, as it is what makes life so valuable; By respecting death we also cherish life. Moreover, all life is to be respected, something that Karvir makes an effort to heed - treating all people with dignity, even if they are of lower status than himself.
Given the long odds at inheriting his success, he has set out to make it himself. Nearly six months have passed since he set out on his own, slowly traveling from one village to another, visiting each rest station, pub, and inn along the way. Rather than making his fortune, he as been spending it lavishly. His purse has grown light now. He has had to downgrade to a rather impoverished "comfortable" room and let go of all of his servants but one. It was also quite embarrassing when he had to sell his fine horse and replace it with a stubborn and aggressive mule. (Karvir is secretly quite afraid it will bite him one of these days. Good thing he has the help around to handle that creature!)
So now here Karvir is, seeking work, seeing himself as suitable for something of the adventuring sort.
