A Disappearance in Glass [ EDIT ]

Trent Barrows, former murder detective for the police. He decides to take a temporary leave from the force to look into the disappearance of his brother Lance, who is (or was) an archeologist. The last time they spoke Lance was a bit more unkempt than usual, and mentioned he was investigating some artifacts he had found, and it seemed they had been dug up on the surroundings of Innsmouth. He didn't say more, only that the inscriptions in then were... strange, and so far he couldn't decipher them, but that was perhaps because he hasn't been sleeping well (he blamed it on the nightmares but didn't elaborate further). Still, he seemed adamant (maybe too much) on that it was important. Trent made him promise to phone or write him is something was off, and if all was well phone/write him every other week. He had a feeling Lance was getting into something that shouldn't.
That was five weeks ago.
