Vex follows Val, thinking that it would be a good idea to have someone to keep an eye on the oft-brash minotaur so that he doesn't rush off into battle without warning the others. He will also assist in the search for clues at the cave-in.

Cyriel: The goblin responds to your inquiry by telling you that Creld is the new tribe leader, a very tall human that moved into the caves about a year or so ago and brought some loyal goblin followers with him. The old tribe members either fell in line with the new leader or were killed off. Creld uses magic to punish and kill those that cross him.

Erevior: As you approach the far door the huddled mass squirms further into the corner giving you plenty of room. You put your ear to the door but hear nothing.

Valrakas & Vex: You both exit the room and come to the first cross hallway and take a left to the cave in. It's clear that this part of the tunnel hasn't been worked as the rest, suggesting that this cave in has been here for quite a while. There doesn't appear to be anything out of the ordinary here.

"Well, I'm convinced... Let's kill Creid and save the boy."
Oct 25, 2015 7:22 pm
Valrakas shrugs. "Well, wha' do ye reckon, me wee matey? Shall we go kick down some doors, hook us some baddies 'n be home by supper?" The minotaur stalks back into the room, stowing his harpoon as he does so. Torch in one hand he picks up the gobo twin bundle and heads for the far door. It's obvious he means to toss the gobos through the door much like he did the last time.

"Ever heard of stealth Val?" Cyriel asks nonchalantly.
Oct 25, 2015 7:38 pm
"Sssssh!" Valrakas mock shushes Cyriel. Grinning, he whispers, "I'll break the door down quietly." The huge minotaur tiptoes comically towards the door and mutters to Erevior, "So which direction does this door open?"

OOC: The door opens in towards the room.
Oct 25, 2015 7:53 pm
Valrakas prepares to throw the gobo bundle and waits for Erevior to open the door like before.
Oct 26, 2015 4:27 am
Vex will take a place in view of the door (but still behind cover), with his crossbow ready.
Oct 26, 2015 7:54 am
With a bellowing laugh, Valrakas hurls the gobo bundle into the other room!
Oct 26, 2015 10:41 am
Cyriel rolls his eyes, but waits, poised.
Oct 26, 2015 10:09 pm
Evervior nearly dislocates his shoulder as he attempts to fling the door open. "I said locked!" the speaker of the goblin group says as her face contorts into what appears to be a bewildered expression.
Oct 26, 2015 10:20 pm
Cyriel laughs aloud briefly then regains his composure. "Yes, she did say that, actually."
Turning his attention to the talkative goblin he says, "Got a key, or should I unleash the Bull?"

"No key. Only guard has key."
Oct 27, 2015 12:42 am
Vex will search the room to see if he can find anything to use as an improvised lock pick, saying "Hey, maybe if I can find something to pick the lock with."

If he finds something he will attempt to pick the lock.

OOC: Gave myself possible disadvantage because of having improvised tools (or none at all)

Not expecting goblin doors to be particularly sturdy Cyriel inspects the door for weaknesses, with the goal to identify where Valrakas should aim his head.

"What about that key we found?"
Oct 27, 2015 12:49 am
Vex stops what he's doing, a flabbergasted look on his face, "Key? We DID find a key, didn't we?"

Wow... I feel like an idiot, I totally forgot about the key

Erevior rubs his sore shoulder and avoids the scornful gaze of his companions. Then he tries the key in the lock. Then, if it works, he'll throw open the door.
