Round 3 (cont'd)

Still faced off against the heavily injured Glaakieou in front of him and others closing in on the sides, Kray sees Bryn turn and glide to the door. Maeriks shield maidens lay at Kray's feet, and Maeriks himself is moving back.

Off in the distance, Kray hears more screams and moans, calls of madness and rage echoing through the darkness. He cannot even be sure if the sound is coming from the left hall or the right.

Cutting through the darkness also, a deep and heavy hiss, and a slow rolling guttural growl, like a rumble in a giant throat.

As the leather faced... things? ... go into a frenzy, Kray can sense the spreading panic and fear among the women rushing for the door. He holds his ground to cover their retreat, falcata and yatagan poised defensively, primed for opportunities in the maddened enemies psychotic assault.

Just then Maeriks' Locust Spear strikes home in the masked maniac nearby, blood spray drenching Kray's shoulder, an arc of several droplets spattering on his cheek and brow as he hammers home with a heavy handed downward hack toward the throat from his yatagan, complimented by an upward thrust intent on skewering the thing from the gut to the heart.

GO DOWN BITCH!

Dice. All to take down G1, any additional damage to bleed whatever is closest. EDIT crit damage for Yatagan.

Kray
TR3

Kray sees the crazed psycho raising his weapon, but doesn't hesitate. He rares back with all of his might, swings the Yatagan, and cuts the guy's head off. The blade catches the Glaaki pawn at the soft flesh of the neck and slides completely through. The motion of the blade pops the masked head up in the air and sends it spinning clockwise. The body's arm instantly drops the sickle and slumps forward, continuing in its last motion before beheading. The bloody circle of gore at the body's neck sprays arterial blood from both sides. The blood splatters in dots across Kray's surcoat as the headless corpse plods forward. Kray has to take a step back as the shoulder of the body pushes forward at his hip as it crashes down to the stone floor.

His other strike already in motion, Kray stabs the falcata out at the next madman to his right. The blade slides through the barbarian's ribs, high at the shoulder blades across his back, near the spine spike wound.

Round 3 Transition

After Bryn glides through the door, Laoise dashes through pulling little Casidhe along with her. Seeing Ivor staged up in defense, Laoise pushes Casidhe further on and then wheels around drawing her bow, poised to fire at any incoming threat.

Young Sine runs through next, followed by Muirne, then Aisling but only barely.

Right after that, while Isibeal is running in, the masked madman with the axe barrels into the gap. He was chasing the elusive Bryn but strikes out instead on the next target, a 19 year old pregnant girl.

OOC:
Jabes, I'm going to let Ivor have full Round 3 Actions instead of just the Ready Action. So have at it.

X, that goes for Thorn as well come to think of it. Thorn is right there at the door, but remember that right now he is poised and ready to push the door closed if someone gives the signal. If he moves out for other Action and Movement, that will mean likely a delay on closing the door. Your call.

His sword held loosely for the moment in his right hand, Thorn stands at the door, ready to heave it shut when the time comes. He sees his friend take down one of the Glaakieou in a spray of blood, then slice into another. Hoping Kray is within earshot, he calls out.

"Mercon! Lost sight of the mark!"

Then over his shoulder he roars into the darkness of the room where he saw Bryn last.

"Rynalt! Where's the girl and Rutcranna!?"

Fuck the rest of these. We need the girl!
OOC:
J, as much as it pains me (in character and IRL) Thorn is staying at the door, ready to slam it.

Although the maniac's frenzied double stab with its short sword is well timed, Kray sees it coming. He brings steel to bear, roughly hacking the first away with his falcata, followed immediately by a downward hammer parry from his own right with the yatagan.

Thorn's words register in his mind. "Everyone move your asses through the door! Maeriks, go!"
