Never played? [ EDIT ]

This game has been retired! That means it's no longer being run.
I'm designing this little adventure for levels 1-4 just to give people a good intro to the 13th Age system. I have been playing this since the playtest stages and are very familiar with it (own all the books and LOVE it too). So please, generate whatever you like and come have fun!

Things can be tricky for a first timer. The question here seems to be weapon dice. Your attack roll is your modifier to the d20 roll to indicate hit or miss but you get one weapon die per level. what does this mean? It means that if you use a longsword, your base weapon damahe is 1d8+str. If you are 4th level, even with a non magical weapon or the longsword you started with, you do 4d8+str damage. Cool, eh? When calculating defenses (AC, PD, MD) you line up the three mods indicated for the defense numerically and choose the middle number. For example; a lvl 1 fighter's AC is calculated by your base armor bonus, depending on armor type (heavy is 15) plus the middle mod of your Con, Dex and Wis. Let's say those numbers are 3, 2 and 1, you would put them in order (1,2,3) and take the middle (2) then add level. So at lvl 1 with those stats, you would have an AC 19. Another example is if you don't have a definitive middle mod, if you have 2 (Con) 4 (Dex) and 4 (Wis). It oddly works the same, put them in order (2,4,4) and pick the middle (4). Those are really the only confusing rules, welcome aboard!
