This is a game of 4th Edition L5R.
L5R: The Great Famine will take place during a past era of Rokugan's history in the 7th Century. Inclement weather has caused widespread crop failure, resulting in starvation and poverty from the lowest commoner to daimyos in the Imperial City. The Emperor has largely ignored the plight of others, even imposing hard punishments for those that sought some relief. In response, peasants have risen up under the command of a merchant's daughter to form The People's Legion, which stands in open rebellion. The Clans raid one another for food, samurai defect from daimyos unable to feed them, and all manner of evil is taking advantage of the ensuing chaos.
This game will have a heavy focus on dialogue and roleplaying, as opposed to combat. There will be fighting, but not as much as a dungeon delve in D&D.
