This is a "West Marches" style game set in a gritty, low magic world. Play is generally self-organized by the players and staffed by multiple GMs.
The game is set in a frontier region on the edge of civilization. A single fortified town is the gateway between the mundane world and the untamed wilderness beyond. All the PCs are would-be adventurers based in this town, traveled here from many lands and many cultures to risk their lives in the wilderness for a chance at fortune and glory.
Adventuring in the West Marches is harsh, and demands PCs band together, trade info, and plan forays into the wilds. Plan carefully, as the wilds are home to many creatures ancient and evil. Magic is rare and dying in this world, spellcasting PCs are limited in their options and magical resources available.
