The Red Tavern
You don't exactly remember how you got here. You don't exactly remember where here is. There are fleeting images that flash past your mind of a cloaked figure, a purse of coins, and a vial of something darker than obsidian.
You woke up the next day hazy and yet your heart was racing. Dragging yourself to your feet from the wooden tavern floor you see the entire floor littered with dead bodies, blood covers nearly every surface, dripping freshly from tables and walls.
How did this happen? A few others rise next to you, staggering just as drunkenly. The only survivors of...of what? You...you think you saw them last night.
Is that the town guard you hear gathering outside? What happened last night? Only one way to find out.

You can point buy, roll stats, or take the standard array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8)
Feel free to come up with anything for your character's history, up until being called to this unknown town. The last evening is nothing but the flashes.
If you have your background traits in your characters Notes section you can earn inspiration. Have a Trait, Ideal, Bond, and Flaw.
