I am going to review all of your characters tonight. There are a couple that I have yet to validate, and some outstanding questions I need answered before we start. If you have not responded by Friday to any questions I have, you may be dropped. As I stated in the game description, i want people who want to play and are willing to spend at least a few minutes each day checking the site for any posts they may need responding to. I shall work to keep up with all of you.
That said, i am creating the Beginnings post. Please don't post there until I do, but you can subscribe to the thread so that you get notifications of posts (purely optional, of course).
Thanks again,
Game on!

A few game-related things as we get ready to start.
1. If you are going to be away, let me know before you leave, so we can figure out what to do with your PC
2. If you think there may be a roll needed, add it to your post. Even if I don't use it, it saves time.
3. Combat will be done in groups. Everyone rolls initiative, and all people from one group go, then all people from the next group. So, if four of the enemy would normally go between you and the next party member, they all go. Then all party member go before the next enemy. It does not really matter the order you go, just that you all go as a group. That way you do not have to wait on the next PC to post, you can just go. But, you still must wait for your group's turn in the combat.
4. If you have an issue with something in the game, bring it to my attention. No bickering in the game thread. We will take it offline.
5. Similarly, while the occasional off-topic talk in game is acceptable, I'd prefer not to have lengthy off topic posts cluttering the current thread. We can use this thread or I can create another, etc.
6. I treat grabbing and drinking a potion yourself as a bonus action (you are welcome). Feeding it to another person is an action
7. I use Matthew Mercer's Resurrection rules. For those who do not know, here is a link: https://geekandsundry.com/use-critical-roles-resurrection-rules-in-your-own-campaign/
Other than that, let's game on!

As we get ready to move on from the duke's castle, I would ask that those of you who still have incomplete PC sheets go and update them. In particular, I would like you to fill out height and weight information, as it may be pertinent when going through the mountains.
Nov 21, 2018 11:29 pm
As an additional note, I will be tracking time during this adventure, so I am going to try and establish a baseline. With that in mind, I am going to use the following rules regarding movement and searching. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know.
https://olddungeonmaster.com/2016/06/04/dd-5e-tracking-time-in-a-dungeon/
basically, if gives some rules for Extremely fast, fast, normal, slow, and extremely slow movement and searching. It's pretty decent, and I think will work well for us.

I've just realised I went to the effort of writing Ilwyn's backstory and never posted it. It gets a bit rushed towards the end where I realised it was getting a bit long and I wanted to get to the point and start playing, but here it is.
[ +- ] Ilwyn Backstory
Ilwyn is the illegitimate child of a relationship between two nobles - One elf, one human. The pair's respective houses did not approve of their relationship, and as such they ended up absconding from their families to be together in secret. Of course, a little too much wine and some fancy elven poetry can lead to rash decisions, and it wasn't long until Ilwyn's human mother was pregnant with her. Unable to hide their secret affair any longer, both Ilwyn's parents were cast out from their houses, disowned and left to fend for themselves.
Although this made life difficult for them, having been raised in the finest of manners and suddenly finding themselves thrown to the slums, the couple knew that this meant they could at least be together now, without judgment. It wasn't as if they were totally broke, either. Between the two of them, they'd stashed away a tidy sum, planning to run away themselves one day. Their exile had really only brought their plans forward a little. No longer nobles, the two bought a commoner's property in the city, and set up a general goods store.
The environment had Ilwyn growing up around people, and 'service with a smile' went as standard around the store. As such, the young girl had no shortage of confidence or energy, and was often seen as a little too smart for her own good when it came to conversation. When she wasn't helping out around the store, she was outside playing with the local children.
Amongst the city's brood of guttersnipes, orphans and street kids, Ilwyn became one of two things - A leader figure or a nuisance. Ilwyn was the type to stand up to the local bullies and ruffians, and made no shortage of childhood enemies doing so. Of course, this also made her a fast group of friends, to whom she was held up as a hero. It helped that she was one of the oldest children around, creating a sort of 'big sister' role for her. The innocence of her youth seemed boundless, but it would change dramatically when she was fourteen - When the grit of the 'hero' Ilwyn would truly be tested.
On a truly dismal night during winter, shadowy figures stalked the streets. Ilwyn was in the midst of seeing her rabble made it safely back to each of their homes when they encountered one such figure. Before they knew it, all their exits were cut off by similar individuals. The first of them blew a cloud of sparkling dust onto them, and one by one they began to collapse. Ilwyn clawed at consciousness for as long as she could, but in vain. Eventually even she caved to the drowsiness that was overtaking her.
When she woke, it was on a cold, stone floor in an unfamiliar garb - A single, pure-white dress that dropped to her knees. When she looked around, she saw the others, all in similar clothes, though the boys wore versions akin to a chorister's raiment. She went about waking each of her fellows, comforting them as much she could despite their alien surroundings. To her surprise, one of the kidnappees happened to be a human boy her age, named Oris. He was the blacksmith's son, and a resident bully. No keen admirer of Ilwyn, for sure.
Before an arguement could break out, however, the sound of shrieking metal alerted the children to a raising grate. Ilwyn led the group beyond it, with Oris begrudgingly following behind. They emerged into a dimly lit labyrinth of stone, somewhere underground.
They spent hours navigating it, or attempting to. They had no idea what to look for, where they were heading, and wandered in circles for most of the time. But no matter what, Ilwyn never stopped reassuring them that she would get everyone out. However, it wasn't long before the true purpose of the maze made itself apparent.
They were scared, hungry and cold, with no sign of that changing any time soon. Tensions were running high, and even Ilwyn was feeling the mental strain. A fight broke out between Oris and another boy, and the latter produced a knife. He made to kill Oris in his frustration, but Ilwyn threw herself between them and ended up sustaining the injury herself. Oris, taken aback by her self-sacrifice for him of all people, knocked out their attacker while Ilwyn held him, then set about making sure she survived.
The wound wasn't fatal in the slightest, but it had shaken Ilwyn. Presa, the local herbalist's daughter and a close friend of Ilwyn, tended to her. Oris made sure the others remained calm until she was back on her feet.
Once they were patched up and ready to go, the three of them took the lead together, they lead the group out and to safety - But not before discovering a sinister secret.
They had been taken by an evil cult, loyal to a god of murder and depravity. They had sought to turn the maze into a bloodbath of lost innocence, and then subject the survivor to horrors as a sacrifice to their patron. Having escaped their clutches, Ilwyn could never quite rest easy knowing that they were out there.
It was this that spurred her to her now righteous path. As soon as she was old enough, she began training as a paladin, serving the temples of devotion with zeal and spirit. She applied as a squire to a knight she began to develop her combat prowess. Soon enough, she was a full fledged holy knight.
With her new status, she sought about dismantling the cult. It was her sole objective, taking her many years and to varied corners of the world. Pressa and Oris, ever loyal and concerned for their friend, followed her and would go on to become her retainers. With the decade, Ilwyn found herself face to face with the cult's last leader, in a climactic stand off in the very place it had began, beneath the city.
Emerging victorious, Ilwyn's victory over the cult was celebrated, having put an end to the disappearing children and rooting out some of the foulest corruptions in the city. She was officially knighted, her family being restored to a new nobility once again in the process.
Seeking to bring justice elsewhere, having witnessed other evils she had been too occupied to chase on her travels, Ilwyn finally departed from her beloved home, along with her friends, in order to find those who needed protection, and provide it.

As a quick note, I want to reiterate that I would like to try and keep the game moving at a steady pace. Hence in the game description I set it as 1 post per day minimum. While I know not everyone needs to post every day depending on the current circumstance, let me know if that pace is unreasonable for you.
I don't want to burden the game on the shoulders of a few, and I definitely don't want to leave people behind because others are posting regularly. But I DO want to keep up the requested pace, because historically when a game slows down is when people get bored and stop responding altogether...

RemusBeginning at 3rd level, you can use your action and expend one Ranger spell slot to focus your awareness on the region around you. For 1 minute per level of the spell slot you expend, you can sense whether the following types of creatures are present within 1 mile of you (or within up to 6 miles if you are in your favored terrain): Aberrations, Celestials, Dragons, Elementals, fey, Fiends, and Undead. This feature doesn't reveal the creatures' location or number.

At character creation, I believe we agreed to use the unearthed arcana Revised Ranger rules (because frankly the PHB ranger is a shambles). The unearthed arcana one reads:
You have an innate ability to communicate
with beasts, and they recognize you as a kindred spirit. Through sounds and gestures, you can communicate simple ideas to a beast as an action, and can read its basic mood and intent. You learn its emotional state, whether it is affected by magic of any sort, its short-term needs (such as food or safety), and actions you can take (if any) to persuade it to not attack.
You cannot use this ability against a creature that you have attacked within the past 10 minutes.
Additionally, you can attune your senses to determine if any of your favored enemies lurk nearby. By spending 1 uninterrupted minute in concentration (as if you were concentrating on a spell), you can sense whether any of your favored enemies are present within 5 miles of you. This feature reveals which of your favored enemies are present, their numbers, and the creatures’ general direction and distance (in miles) from you.
If there are multiple groups of your favored enemies within range, you learn this information for each group."

I admit I hadn't realised we were also using Unearthed Arcana. That opens up a whole bunch of options, and possibly headaches too though.
Jan 9, 2019 12:49 pm
I believe it's only the UA ranger, which most of the campaigns I've been in tend to use by default. The PH ranger is lackluster to say the least.
Jan 9, 2019 1:05 pm
Benzie
Actually, we are NOT using UA, with the exception of the ranger. While there is some good stuff in UA, I tend to not use it, having had some rather bad experiences with players using that content.

Disaster has struck, my friends. EVERY document I have for my online games was copied to a thumb drive, which is now MIA. I had planned on moving it to my permanent drive, but misplaced it before I could do so.
EVERYTHING was on it. Maps, game notes, you name it, I had it on there... not just for this game, but every game I run. I'll keep you posted as to whether I find it or how long it will take me to recover.

Fortunately, the biggest headache will be having to rebuild my scenario maps... I have cloud back-ups of most of the other stuff. :/

Fortunately for me, I only need the map for your current setting right now. I already have the adventure maps, which were backed up elsewhere... it just really sucks that all of my old collections of scanned things are MIA... yes, I can find them again online somewhere i am sure, but some things may be lost for good...

DM, question on summoning, wildshape, polymorph etc, may I have the dinosaur options? More fun than regular beasts. Also, for conjuring, do I get to choose? In return I promise never to use the 8x pixie polymorph cheesiness. :D

Yes, you get to choose the creature that you are summoning. As for the dinosaur option, I'll allow it and see how things go. I'm all for fun and interesting, as long as it doesn't break game play.
Jan 20, 2019 12:04 pm
By the way, Ket, could you try and repost the map? The link appears to be wrong, and is also impossible to copy for some reason. I'm a little lost as to where we are at the moment and would like to know how out-of-the-way Tycha will take us.

Thanks Bleak, I forgot that the GH Maps site was recently taken down and moved to a temp location. I've updated the map in the Maps thread.

I have been looking through PC sheets and noticed that the loot you all got from the dire troll battle has not been logged to a lot of your PC sheets. please do so before we get into the caves.
Mar 6, 2019 6:36 am
The coin and gem loot was stored in Hraefn's bag of holding, and then I declared that Hraefn will empty it all out to Ilwyn's retainers to safeguard. So that we can go in with an empty a bag as possible. So only magic items need be added I think.

I have added the potions and scroll to my sheet. Caedwyn has the Helm and the archers split the arrows but I don't know which one has the Slayer.

I'd like to apologize for my harsh words. I've been suffering from dental issues the last couple of weeks. Root canal coming up soon and since the break down I've either been in pain or under the powerful spell of painkillers. Not to worry, no Fentanyl or Propofol but Oxy is still pretty powerful.

No worries Al.... just know that I would NEVER ignore a player's actions. Usually it is my trying to write a good story at the expense of attention to detail. I'll try to be better.

I'll try to post later today. This weekend hit me with a sinus bug and I am really not feeling it at the moment.Jun 5, 2019 12:43 am
DM, I know you've posted us compliantly going into the jail cells. Is it ok if we backtrack a little? I'm sorely tempted to do Plan B instead...
And I didn't know we're on the starship ENTERPRISE??? I thought we were fighting Daleks.

Hraefn casts Pass Without Trace, turns into a insect and escapes through an air vent? Comes back later to release them?
Although I suppose he could try to do the same with a jailbreak.

Sorry I am taking so long, guys. I'm trying to get caught up from my 'vacation' :/

Sorry I've been absent for a while, been trying to learn Shadowrun for my group irl. Normally it wouldn't be so bad, but I'm gonna be GMing so finding decent resources and organising stuff has been taking up my time.
That and new games but I'll stick with the first reason :P

Checking in to see if everyone is still alive and well. Haven't heard from some of you. :)
Jul 1, 2019 7:21 pm
Sorry all, guess there is a puzzle to be solved. Feel free to, in character, discuss options or ideas.
Jul 1, 2019 7:22 pm
It seems we're at a point in the game where we either wait for whatever is going to come question us or try to break out. I'm just trying to work out to do it without frying some of us.
Jul 2, 2019 4:49 am
My Plan B for Hraefn is for him to fly out as a bug, then Polymorph to a T-Rex or King Kong. I can do that first before Bram starts fireballing.
I guess I was asking about remus and blacknightrising, don't think they're playing anymore.

I could try chewing on the force field, maybe do a puppet show with the bones while we wait?

For everyone's note, I sent a message to Remus and BlackKnightRising90 to see what is up. They have been gone 2-3 weeks. If they do not respond by this weekend, I am going to drop them and recruit replacements.

I had not planned on not posting over our long weekend here, but the hotel WiFi was abominable... I'll catch up today. Apologies again.

Welcome runekyndig! Super quick summary: It's a dungeon crawl thus far! Fought some veggie-monsters, but couldn't defeat the robots so we let them arrest us. Waited for the ship's commandant but don't think he's actually alive anymore. We've just had a short rest, I'm guessing your character is all charged up and healed up. Plot-wise maybe we'll say you were knocked out from our last battle with the robots, and are just coming to.

Thx Bedzone, I'm running with the knocked out and suitable disorintated untill I get my footing in this game. Should take to long

Sorry everyone, a bunch of IRL stuff has come up for me, so I'm having to drop everything for the time being.
Jul 12, 2019 3:53 pm
I have a new player coming. He was going to play a barbarian, like Cato did, but has opted to replace our rogue...
Jul 12, 2019 7:40 pm
Hi all! Playing the rogue I admit was somewhat of a selfish choice, but I can still do the Barb if that is more appropriate to the game. I love Barbarians. My concern is that I am playing 2 Barbs already and wanted to go for something less played, but I don't mind doing the Barb at all.
Jul 12, 2019 11:52 pm
Hey Bedzonell! Nice to see you here too. Sorry for the indecisiveness. In the end I submitted the Barbarian. I know fighter types are generally not as popular and I absolutely enjoy Barbarians. So meet Einar Brannstrom!!! Dual Wielding Totem Warrior, Lover of Nature and Outdoors!
Jul 13, 2019 12:54 am
DM, if we need a retcon, we can always say the previous party members were gassed to death in their cells, but there were other prisoners in the cell block! (shades of the other game...)
Jul 14, 2019 4:12 pm
Ok I'm all caught up on the Barrier Peaks forum. Assuming we're doing a straight swap with Caedwyn, I'm ready. I guess we're just waiting on a Rogue now?

I’ve accepted Ferdy and discourage. I’m looking to replace a rogue and paladin, or something similar. It’s going to be a straight swap, so it will be as if you have been with the party all along. I’d like you to read Into the Barrier Peaks to get a feel for what has occurred recently.
Jul 15, 2019 7:50 pm
Hi all! Thanks for the invite to the game. Looking forward to playing (once I've read a ton of backstory)!

Hi folks! So we're losing a rogue and a paladin, but what have we got left? PHB races and subclasses only?
Jul 16, 2019 1:18 am
Right now it looks like we're a wizard, a druid, a barbarian and a bard. From what I can remember yes it's core races and classes only.
Jul 16, 2019 8:54 pm
FYI, discourage has elected to go with a rogue, while Ferdy is working on a paladin. Once they are submitted, I will begin posting again. Here's to hoping we can move along at a regular pace again. :)
Jul 16, 2019 10:57 pm
Lest I forget. Create your new PCs on DND Beyond. I'll send the link for my campaign so you can enter them there. Ensure you add an image for them so I can create your token. Einar and Sonja already have theirs. Graxif and (FERDY) will need them.
Jul 22, 2019 9:02 pm
I'm now fully caught up on all the backstory, and boy could I not have come up with a more different rogue than Merri. Apologies for the extensive creative energy you will need in retconning.
Jul 23, 2019 2:51 pm
FYI everyone, first time we tangled with 2 robots, Hraefn and Merri went to sleep, and the remaining 4 didn't manage to do enough damage to destroy even one of them. So welcome to lala land, new additions! We need to puzzle this one out! I swear there's bound to be gas masks somewhere, it's just we haven't found them.

There's the strange potion bottle that Einar found in the cell. Didn't have much time to investigate it before the robot came in though.
Jul 23, 2019 10:33 pm
We also have two alien weapons, Hraefn is holding some kind of blaster, and I can't remember who's holding the other one.
Jul 24, 2019 12:51 am
Bram, I think, held onto the coin and the strange glass bulb thing you all found at the fort....

The artwork and the spacer theme reminds me of one of the earliest d&d games. This is the case right?

Jul 24, 2019 6:26 am
Yes, but this is all a 5E conversion.. and I’ve never ever presented a party with a situation that only has one solution or way out. The case here was that the party had some bad rolls and wound up giving in to the golems, thus winding up in jail... now y’all gotta jail break. 😁
Jul 24, 2019 10:42 am
oops @runekyndig i hope i didn't imply that we were stuck looking for the one and only solution. we had a bad first battle is all.

I want to match my expectations with the game that is all :)
My group and I have played some different games to see what was typical for the 80'es, 90'es, and 00'es. A very interesting play through of different thoughts of gameplay.

I agree with your observations, you can tell the 'era' of a game from its design and focus
Jul 24, 2019 2:33 pm
Don't care who you are or what era.... this adventure ROCKS... and the maps are pretty cool, too... :D
Jul 25, 2019 7:30 pm
@runekyndig Sonja has proficiency in DEX saving throws, no? (He says having forgotten to apply the aura of protection to Grax's)
Jul 25, 2019 7:50 pm
No, we will go back and fix it. I have no issue re-working something if it is the right thing.
Jul 25, 2019 7:51 pm
Looking back, you rolled a 10. The aura of protection gives a +3, so a 13 would still have failed.

I'm about to start beating my head on a wall with players here... Ferdy has gone MIA for the past two weeks, leaving me hanging here and in my Saltmarsh game... if anyone has seen him, ask him to let me know if he is going to continue playing? I actually had high hopes for his PC concepts....
Aug 15, 2019 11:34 pm
If it's any encouragement, your other games are keeping good momentum, and good regular players too!

Crossbow bolt retrieval (also just realized that my inventory had arrows not bolts...)
Rolls
Retrievals bolt on a 2 - (1d2)
(2) = 2
Aug 20, 2019 8:38 pm
Correct. You get back half of what you fire, unless I allow otherwise due to some extenuating circumstance...
Aug 20, 2019 8:40 pm
I only fired one bolt so thought I'd roll for it. 50% of an bolt ain't much good to anyone.

@BedzoneII I think you may have missed the below. We now have both an orange and a red.
Luckily, you manage to extract the red card from the golem's interior. It is slightly cracked along the edges, but seems complete.

FYI, with Dorian coming through I may be slow to post this week. Though it looks like we will avoid the brunt of it, we typically lose power during these storms.
Sep 11, 2019 11:32 pm
As an FYI, I am continuing to run Bram until such a time as I can remove him from play. That will leave us Einar, Graxif, Hraefn Kymael, Romani and our newcomer (soon) Gavin.

I've seen a couple of games that Ket runs, and this is the game where he goes through players like dirty underwear! :) :)
But seriously, this game has had too many players disappear. I figure we can get all caught up again once we get to know each other.

Ket--I haven't had a chance to check Lucky's thread yet. I'm heading to bed and will take a look while I'm at work tomorrow.

Just doing a retcon headcount, so Hraefn, Grax, Einar, Romani and Bram (who is disappearing soon) are the 'original' party who entered these caves. They've just discovered Kymael, and are about to 'bump into' Gavin.
Sep 12, 2019 5:31 pm
I've gone through the thread, but I've kinda lost track of what the goal is now. Are we still trying to clear this whole place out, or are we just trying to get out now?

Objective:
- Put a stop to whatever is generating the monsters which are plaguing the land.
Summary:
- Journeyed to reach these caves. Fought nastiest one-hit-kill troll.
- Entered caves. Largely couldn't investigate rooms because of locked doors (needing coloured key cards)
- Fought big battle of plant people and plant dogs. Fire is effective.
- Fought 2 police robots. Bad saves meant party surrendered.
- Put in jail cells to await commandant who never arrived. Conclusion: no one is in control of the ship.
- Jailbreak. Fought another 3 robots so far, this last one being the 3rd.
Still to do:
- Haven't found how to shut down or kill everything yet.
- This is still level 1, there are drop tunnels to the lower levels.
- The level is circular, and we've covered the south-east quadrant.
- The police HQ is pretty much the centre of the map for this level. But there's a gray door we cannot open.

Ok, all, Chr2m has bailed on this game as well. Not sure what it is about BP that has such a revolving door, but with him leaving and my carrying Bram, we in effect have have only 5 of you. I don't plan on recruiting a replacement, and will eventually work Bram out of the story.
I am tempted to close us down, and others have expressed understanding if I do so, but I want to put it our there for your discussion. I've always loved this adventure, but old-school dungeon crawls are not to everyone's liking. PBP can, as you know, be pretty slow-paced, and I know I've slowed some lately due to my project schedule here at work.
I'd like to know your thoughts... and don't be shy... I don't want to continue if someone else bails a week from now.

Hi Ket. I see no real reason to shut it down completely. I mean I am really enjoying the game although i typically don't take the lead when I play barbarians so I'm generally not the most pro-active about game decisions. I am certainly attentive to posts on a daily basis even if other characters are taking the lead. I'm keen to carry on, if you wanna just scale down the encounters and I'd try to be more pro-active in steering the game direction.
Oct 15, 2019 6:59 pm
I think the dungeon crawl might be inherently more difficult on PbP. There's so much dice rolling (checking for traps and secret doors, listening at doors, searching rooms, investigating items) that might only take a moment irl, but can take a few days on PbP.
I think the way we searched the last bit of rooms is a great way to do it. The group picks a direction and plans on opening every door down that corridor. There are 10 doors, so roll perception 10 times (20 with advantage). Then take a moment in each room if needed. "Door 1, here's what it looks like, nothing of interest. Door 2, here's what it looks like, you find a locked closet." Etc. That way we can see the things that are to be seen without necessarily getting too bogged down in searches that can take weeks.
I gotta ask, did Chr2m say whether he was bailing on just this game or on GP in general? I'm in another game that was short on players that he recently joined.
Anyway, I'm ready to continue. Like I said when you brought me into this game, I'm pretty excited about it. I bought the original back in the '80s but never got a chance to play it.

Chr2m said that he felt that his creativity was lacking and didn’t want me to think he just bailed on the game. Like I said, dungeon crawls can be tough in a PbP, so if things are going south for you I’d rather know up front.
So we keep going then... I’ll get a new post up later.

Well I've been here since day one, so I'm the unofficial tour guide thus far for a revolving cast of (by my last count), what feels like 12 maybe 13 others. It's a big dungeon with a couple of levels and we're barely a quarter through level one. Just to give everyone a sense of what the long haul is.
But I don't want to feel like I'm pushing the pace or trying to tell everyone what to do just because I happen to be longest here and already have a sense of what to do and where to go. I admit I'm struggling a little with a revolving cast.
@mcdunno yeah it's one of those not-every-door-is-something type of old school dungeons, rather than a each room is an encounter/trap/puzzle type of old school dungeon.

Hi there, Matthias here.
I've just resubmitted Bram Sulman as my own charecter to the game, Ket. I've been trying to read back through the threads. Have just finished the troll encounter in the swamps. Will try to catch up to where the party currently is, but I guess Bram will be somewhat laconic and lacking in vivid memories of the past, for the time being.
Thanks for having me join you.

Hi Matthias! Scroll up here for my quick summary. Latest update from that post, we've gone round the jail block, fought another round of plant-men (which Bram singlehandedly destroyed with a fireball), discovered some accommodation rooms, a dining hall (don't eat the food there it's nasty), a room with tables and view screens.
We're about to go back into the jail block / commandant's office to enter some rooms we couldn't open in the first place, because we now have a rare gray card (different coloured cards open different doors).

Ok, all, I'm sorry, but I think I am just going to close this game. It has been doomed from the start, with constant players dropping and my recruiting. I know that Aldrusian is back and says he can reclaim Bram, and matmaisan has stated that he is more than willing to come in as another character, but I'm just not up for more character shuffling. Things have gotten tough enough to keep going, so I am just going to stop this game. Maybe I'll pick it back up (or restart it) in the future, but for now I have to say halt.... :/ My deepest apologies.

Not at all Ket, we managed to keep this one afloat for a good run already! Thanks for sharing the old school weirdness of Barrier Peaks with us!
Dec 4, 2019 8:59 am
No apologies needed, Ket. Although I've only been here briefly, it was fun to read through the whole campaign and see an implementation of this old classic into dnd5e.
For what it's worth, I'd suggest you not delete the game, but just leave it here, dormant, until you're ready to pick up or reboot it later. If you never do, no problems. But if you decide to return we won't have lost all the great content already created.
Gotta say that before you allowed me to play Bram, I had toyed with the idea of building a character very much like discourage's Graxif (a gnome arcane trickster...). So if you decide to restart, I wouldn't mind taking over that character and perhaps adapting it a bit.
