Kian Le

Appearance: Kian Le is every bit the youthful peasant that he appears to be. With youthful features that actually paint him as younger than he actually is, it is obvious that despite his lowly upbringing, he has never known true hardship or pain.
Kian Le's innocent dark eyes sparkle with an inner light and life. His long black hair falls past his shoulders, seemingly only accentuating his youthful appearance yet further. His smile is infectious. When he does smile, it is with the effect to make everyone else want to smile with him.
He wears a blue silk brocade across a white, silk shirt belted at the waist.
Personality: The thing about Kian Le is that there is no dissembling with him. There is nothing hidden and he does not conceal anything from anyone. Kian Le wears his heart on his sleeve, and the young peasant boy grew up in Lagiluri with dreams of becoming a martial artist or swordsman. However, in the peaceful village of Lagiluri, there is nobody willing to teach him.
Kian Le is both naïve and innocent. He honestly believes that there is good in anyone. He will soon learn that the truth is anything but.
But most of all, inside of Kian Le is a burning desire. Since childhood, he has been separated from his sister, Kian La. The Dark of the Moon to his Light of the Sun. Kian Le desires to be reunited with his missing twin sister, and there is nothing that he will not do to achieve that.
Background: The day that Kian Le and Kian La were born was a very special day in the village of Lagiluri. The twins's mother died in childbirth, yet the monks of Lagiluri celebrated a very special moment. The birth of celestial twins was seen as a sign of good fortune in the eyes of the villagers, a sign from Mahavidi that she favoured both the village and the Dalai Lama of Ra-Khati.
Kian Le was the youngest by a matter of seconds, his twin sister preceding him. Although he had dark hair to her light blonde hair, he was the Light of the Sun in contrast to her Dark of the Moon, due to their natures. Whereas Kian Le was bright and cheerful, there was a darker, more mischievous side to Kian La's nature, and as the more daring of the two, there was nothing she would not do, and nobody she wouldn't torment for fun.
Kian Le was usually Kian La's naïve accomplice. As twins, the two were inseparable, with Kian Le following his twin sister blindly. Yet, they were both happy, and the village, accepting them for who they were, gracefully took their many misdemeanours.
Then, one dark morning five years ago, Kian La disappeared from her bed.
Who took Kian La, and where she went to were mysteries that had gone unsolved. And Kian Le suddenly felt that he had to go through life with his right arm removed. They were two halves of a whole, separated as they were never meant to. And as the days became weeks, months and then years, Kian Le's fraught worry receded into a dull, painful ache.
The desire to find his sister never went away, he just believed she was truly gone. Yet that does not change Kian Le's desire, or will to find his kin. He desires to learn the way of the fist, and the way of the blade, so that he can find the part of his missing soul.
