DAY 1 (Oct 29 - Jan 2)
The story began on a midsummer's night in Waterdeep at the infamous Yawning Portal, where the party won a Battle of the Bards musical competition, defeating the Xanathar's Guild's own group Beauty and the Zhentarim-backed group Black Snake. Prince and Vatra stole the show, scoring very high ability checks (25 and 30 respectively), playing the song "Raspberry Beret".

After Black Snake had departed, Krentz led the Beauties to attack Black Snake's manager, Yagra Stonefist. The party interceded on Yagra's behalf, and soundly defeated Krentz's musicians. Stitches found a Silk Bird, a silvered dagger, and a drink label for Peabody's Session Ale on Krentz and his thugs.

Then, a stirge-infested Troll attacked, climbing up through the enormous well in the center of the tap room. The party fought alongside Durnan. Although Xelia was knocked unconscious, Durnan fed her a draught of healing potion and restored her to full health. Xelia and Durnan's history remains undefined.

Shortly afterward, Volo hired the party to look for his missing friend, Floon Blagmaar, for the agreed-upon price of 10 gold apiece now, and 60 more gold apiece afterward.

Some interactions produced the following information:

* Volo lamented the wave of gang violence between the Xanathar's Guild and Zhentarim that has erupted throughout the city in the last few weeks.
* Alastriona acquired a troll foot, which she traded to Volo for a torn page out of VGtM (p. 176: Alhoon).
* Bonnie the server is looking for a career change and an introduction to The Harpers organization.
* Meloon, a retired adventurer, expressed his fondness of living vicariously through the character's adventuring stories and wants to hear more. He promises to make future introductions with the Gray Hands.
* Obaya identified the Silk Bird for Stitches, says she is interested in purchasing magic items for her employer at top rates once she gets her loans approved.

The party went to the Dock Ward to investigate the Skewered Dragon, Floon's last known whereabouts. They happened upon the City Watch cleaning up a grisly murder scene between Xanathar and Zhentarim supporters.

Some interactions produced the following interactions:
* The party met Civilar Sheshtandeliath and his City Watch squad, which provided you with a copy of the Code Legal.

After taking a detour, the party found the Skewered Dragon and asked around about Floon. They discovered he had been drinking with Volo, then met with Renaer Neverember after Volo left. Floon and Renaer gambled for a while, then left with 5 Zhents. A nearby Zhentarim warehouse on Candle Lane is the most likely location for where they went after that. The party decided to take a long rest and wait for daybreak before proceeding to the warehouse.

Before returning to the Yawning Portal, the party split. These events were covered in a separate thread. Vatra, Xelia, and Alastriona visited the Old Xoblob Shop across from the Skewered Dragon, a curio shop owned by a strange Svirfneblin that peddled primarily purple products. After a little bit of attempted shoplifting, Xelia discovered that Xoblob runs a magic item auction and secured an invite. But, before she could get more information, another arrived with a flock of Kenku thugs and closed down the shop.

Meanwhile, Butler and Stitches caroused the Skewered Dragon and learned a little about a Whaterdhavian noble family known as the Cassalanters, who are the primary money lenders in the city. This isn't the first time you've heard of them; they were also the sponsors of the Battle of the Bards competition.

Day 2 (Jan 2 - current)
The party proceeded to the Zhentarim warehouse where they suspected Floon Blagmaar was being held. After sneaking in, they confronted six Kenku who worked for the Xanathar and had slaughtered the warehouse's Zhentarim agents. The kenku had stayed behind to ambush more Zhents.

After defeating the Kenku, the party discovered Renaer Neverember. Between the information that Renaer provided and the interrogation of a sole surviving Kenku agent, they discovered the following information:

* The Zhentarim initially kidnapped Renaer because they believed he knew the location of an artifact referred to as The Stone of Golorr. Floon was just an innocent bystander.
* The Zhents want the stone because of a rumour that Renaer's father and former Open Lord of Waterdeep, Dagult Neverember, embezzled 500,000 gold dragons somewhere in the city.
* The Stone of Golorr is believed to hold the secret to finding this treasure.
* The Stone of Golorr was in the hands (tentacles?) of The Xanathar's Guild until it was stolen. The Xanathar's Guild believes the Zhents were responsible, sparking a gang war between the two groups.
* The Zhents kidnapped Renaer, hoping he would have information about the Stone's whereabouts
* The Xanathar's Guild got word that the Zhents had captured Renaer and sent the Kenku to get him. They accidentally took Floon with them instead.
* The Kenku prisoner confirmed The Xanathar's Guild is holding Floon in a sewer lair. Yellow Signs are supposed to mark the way.
* The prisoner struck a bargain for his life. In exchange for freedom, he offered to show the party the entrance to the Xanathar's Guild sewer lair.

Currently, the party has been exploring the warehouse and is trying to locate a strongbox that might contain a large amount of valuables. However, the City Watch has just arrived.
