Ok to start roll 6d10 for each stat - Strength, speed, intellect and Combat. If you've not used the dice roller before, hit the advanced tab below, and you can add dice rolls in there.

Is it okay to roll the 6d10 and then decide which stats to assign each roll to?
Jan 24, 2019 3:54 pm
ordinarily you'd normally just roll in order, but given I've asked you to fill a specific roll to fill, you can

Okay, thanks.
I could use some advice about which stats to apply these numbers to. I've only played 5e and Pathfinder, so I'm a little out of my depth in terms of deciding what a security officer in this system should look like, stats-wise.

well, strength and combat most likely to be helpful, I would have thought (we're all new to the game, so I'm as clued up as you!) That 6d10 is for one stat though, so you need to do that another three times.

Strength - 38
Speed - 28
Intellect - 37
Combat - 42
I went back and forth on the speed and intellect distribution, but opted for this configuration because of the fact that we're carrying high-value prisoners. It seems like the company would want to make sure the security head was bright enough to make good decisions and that physical speed would be a much lower priority.

As for class, I suppose Marine makes better sense for security than Teamster.
Do I need to do anything initially with the Stress & Panic section, or is this simply to be used in game when a saving throw is required?

You start with 2 stress and 0 resolve, they are used more in game so you don't have to worry about them right now

Rolling for trinket and patch.
Edit: So that's Leather Gloves (Xenomorph Hide) for the random trinket and "HELLO MY NAME IS:" for the patch.

Rolling for starting credits.
Edit: Apparently, you can't tell the roller to multiply - at least, I haven't found a way to make that work, so I guess I have to roll it 10 individual times.
Total: 257 starting credits.

Awesome, if it makes it easier just copy and paste my character info in my thread, then delete my stuff and substitute your own. After that submit your character to the game.

Did anyone spend credits on additional gear? And I'm confused about spending points for training. Where do I find how many points are available to me?
Jan 27, 2019 10:42 pm
As Marine you get military training skill off the bat and then You get 3 points to throw where you want.
Trained skills cost 1 point
Expert skills cost 2 points
Master skills cost 3 points
In order to get a expert or master skills you must have a at least one skill that leads to it.

Sorry I'm taking so long, folks. I had a death in the family and prep for a job interview all hit during the same time period.
Are we supposed to spend credits on additional equipment, or do we just start with the initial loadout?

Up to you, everyone has picked a loadout and if you want anything additional to personalise, go ahead.

How you doing? I got the game started and your character is in cryogenic stasis so no rush but let me know how soon you think you’ll be ready
