This is an open playtest for final feedback before release.
The year is 1988. The Soviet Union is still a major power, but has begun to crumble slowly. Power shifts as the Soviet Union crumbles, and smaller regions find themselves in control of deadly nuclear arsenals. South America is undergoing a slow socialist revolution. The Middle East is a cauldron of unrest, with the Palestinian declaration of independence throwing more fuel onto the fire. China is rising.

No one knows where the next threat will come from. Some governments begin cooperating, pooling their resources to share intelligence. They commission a new agency. Nameless, faceless, the agency implements what it terms the Zero Protocol, and begins recruiting from a wide selection of outside organizations.

From a vast pool of candidates an elite few arise. This elite trains in secret to combat threats as they arrive, or pre-empt them if possible. But their work can never reach the light of day. Their accomplishments remain unsung. Their governments can never acknowledge what they do.

Disavowed if caught, they officially do not exist.

They are Zeroes. You are a Zero.
If spy fiction in the vein of Robert Ludlum and Ken Follett is up your alley, I'll supply you an official copy of the system pdf to build a character.

I'm always up for a beta test. Or is this even a pre-beta test? Not sure what kind of characters you would be looking for but I'm thinking a special military operator. How does a Seal sniper sound? If not, maybe a Marine sniper? I imagine you would want some sort of Intel operators as well. I'm thinking back to the late 60's and the Impossible Missions Force. You might have an electronics expert, an expert in disguise. And I'm sure you would want the players to be as historically accurate as possible. There were no cell phone then. They were called portable phones and were big, clunky things. Even bigger than today's sat phones. Personal computers were all the rage with the 386 processor running at 16 MHz. I installed a wide area network at Arrowhead Water in LA on one of those machines. I could go on and on. Consider me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what you have in mind.

Oh yeah, all of that is accurate. Part of the system reminds people about that (or tells them if they weren't there!) I think Either of those options would work well. I will send you a PM with the pdf link.

I need one active, and preferably proactive player to run in this 1980's high espionage game.

I love things like Top Secret SI, so this is right up my alley if you've got a spot left! :D

If you're still looking for player's, I'll toss my hat in.

I don't have any spots left atm Squad, but if that changes, you're first on the list.
