I just realized that the same questions kept coming again and again, and that it might do some good if I shared some of the knowledge I've gathered.
Gamer's Plane's best landing page
The most useful page in this entire website : All your games, with indicators if there are unread messages. Just remember to subscribe to whatever you want to follow.
D&D 5e : actions cheat sheet
Sometimes, newcomers can use this little reminder because there is so much that can be done : https://crobi.github.io/dnd5e-quickref/preview/quickref.html
Of course, you can do anything you want even if it isn't listed here. It is my job to make sure that you can, and to rule how it works.
Modern tools for gamers
All the spells with descriptions and filters : https://www.dnd-spells.com/spells Or alternatively, https://donjon.bin.sh/5e/spells/ (I tend to use this one more because I'm used to it, but it only contains SRD descriptions)
On Android, I've found Spell List D&D 5th Edition to be the most convenient to use.
Most things from the game are available at https://dnd5e.fandom.com/wiki/D%26D_5th_Edition_Wikia. I use it so much I barely even touch my books anymore. This, plus the pdf files...
Well, this one is explicitly a violation of WotC's copyright, but PDF files should come with printed copies nowadays... Please, don't spoil yourselves by reading the modules you are playing in. Really, it's lame.
Perfect picture for your new character
If you don't know where to search you new character's portrait, here are three amazing sources :
- DeviantArt, where artistes share their creations
- Pinterest, where users save and share pictures they found on the web
- Google Image because, you know, sometimes it's hard to look everywhere
