Hey guys, just a heads up, I've been pretty swamped with work lately, but I'm hoping to have the game up and running by tomorrow. Also, two of our Troubleshooters have been demoted back down to infrared status as their players have dropped out. I'm happy to run with four characters, but I am open to hearing your thoughts ...

I've just approved AstralEndeavor, a new user on Gamersplane, so hopefully we will have our four-man Troubleshooter team after all. I'm going to wait until we can get Astral set-up and then we will continue the adventure. Welcome aboard.

Please use the character's name when you name the file, that makes it easier for me to find him/her quickly. When I have some time, I will provide you with the secret side and update your character sheet. Btw, I probably should've asked this beforehand, but what are Coms in Paranoia? I've checked that PDCs are like modern phones. Are Multicorders like video cameras?

2. Just a reminder: The minimum requirement for this game is one post per week. If you know that you are going to miss a week, just share that with the group.

Sure, I believe we can always have more players in a game(if the GM can handle it). Just have to explain how they drop in.

Ok. I submitted my player sheet. I added the two skills and will add a tick. I read the start of the game. Once my character is accepted I will try to figure out how to send a hidden message, I will do so. 3:35 am here so tomorrow.

Okay each of you has 4 narrow specialties. two are pre-selected on your character sheet as examples. these are skills that are assigned to two of your abilities and must be applicable in some way to that ability. You are allowed to wait until you are in Game to decide what those narrow specialties are. These are skills that are extremely specific and have a high value. I want to say that they are between 12 and 15 but I will have to consult the book when I have a minute. Knowing this, you may commit to them now or opt to select them in game.

BTW, if our present clone dies, how much memory/personality will the new clone retain? And what are the chances of mutation?

A clone is vat-grown duplicate citizen. As far as we can tell, they each have their own brain and do not share thoughts or memories.

Bedzonell, I edited my post and answered your question about the bars. I think it's safe to say that Dave and Will have dropped out of the game. How do you guys feel about me booting them?

Yeah I think it's safe to say we have 2 MIAs. I'm ok with it, but more importantly it depends if you're ok still running the game with 3 players.

My next move, after tying a rope, is to steal everything from Dave and Will 🤣
They can suffer any punishment your great wisdom finds suitable after I get my hands in those extra laser barrels, credits, clean suits and all sort of useful and possibly traitorous items :D

I know it's off topic, but I like to talk about my experience dreaming. It is often game mechanics are involved. So it's best described as a like VR game that may or may not be multiple player. The sad thing is when I wake up, I realised its just a dream, and I don't get to see people's review of the bizarre things in the "game".

Really? Wow I've never had a 'game mechanics' related dream before. So as you act in your dream do you imagine that some die rolling or number crunching is going on?

No, I don't see RNG or calculating. It's actually more like, I'm playing a computer or console game, but physically in the "game", or atleast my dream presents it as one. So there is the ability to go back to levels to try again, trying to solve a "first-person" puzzle, being able to use powers, etc.

I'm guessing it tends to be wither the game you played the most time or the most recently :)
It's actual dreams and not one of those pre-sleep thinking rushes? I tend to get these "rushes" if something is bothering me and I'm trying to solve it. I take my time to disconnect ;)

Hey guys! I'm doing a game clean up to re-organize my time on GP and just wanted to double check if this game is still going :D

I'm doing a game clean up as well, and I'm considering withdrawing from this. But with just three of us I understand that will probably result in folding up the game. I'd like to move on to running more games on GP, which is the main reason.

It's been a blast though! There was definitely some crazy Paranoia zaniness going on!

Hi All, I'm sorry to report that I had a few unexpected medical emergencies pop up in my family in January and I've been doing a lot of travelling and dealing with crap. My silence over the last couple weeks is in no way a reflection of my disinterest in the game. I am finally starting to get caught up with work stuff and I hope to get caught up with my games over the weekend.

I will continue with the next posts, but if the game does ultimately end with our intrepid Troubleshooters endlessly lost down the halls of bureaucracy, well... that might just be the way it goes sometimes.

Sorry to hear that justin, I didn't mean to add to the pressure of your situation. I've enjoyed immensely the game you've been running for us so far. No rush to update, honestly.

Hi all, just wanted to express my deep gratitude to you guys for playing through about 70% of the adventure with me. I had a great time playing and you guys all captured the fun and spirit of Paranoia beautifully. Unfortunately, I have a lot on my plate for the time being and I am going to have to withdraw from this game as well. Thanks again.

That’s a shame :( I hope it all gets better and less busy soon 70% is really impressive. We’ll need to try to get those papers sorted at some point 😎
