Realized her real name was the same as the ruler. Fixed that....
Klavdiya(Diya) "Babushka" Durchenko was raised by her grandmother in the Khimki forest near Moscow. From a young age, she assisted in her Grandmother's work. Natalya Durchenko was a popular folk healer with the people of both the city and nearby towns. They would go to her for medicine, advice, etc.
Diya's parents were killed when she was quite young, she moved in with her grandmother Natalya, but it seems as if Diya was born under an inauspicious star.

When she turned 16, a band of raiding men attacked her ramshackle home, killing her grandmother rather violently and
[ +- ] Spolier, possible trigger warning
They trashed the home, and attempted to burn it to the ground when they found nothing of "real value". This violent, painful action triggered her awakening.

As she already had close ties to the local sprits and animals through her work as a wise woman, she gained strength from that foundation.

She became the wise woman of the forest in her grandmother's place before she drew the attention of the local cabal. And to be honest, she sometimes still is. However now, she is offering sage advice and harmless, non-magical folk cures to the local farmers and foresters. She is attractive, and typically wears a traditional kerchief.

She tries to see the good in most folks, most situations, as her virtue is hope.

Her familar, a falcon named Matvei follows her most places. As a member of the Mysterium she craves knowledge, and her hidden forest home where she sees her clients is a mess of knicknacks and books.

As a Thyrsus she connects with spirits and life regularly.

She is not overly fond of cities, finding them as silencing the natural order of things. She cant feel the earth as well.
She isn't a fighter, at all. She carries a dagger for her protection. She relies heavily on her mind and social skills which are rather well developed for one once so isolated.
Animals like her, and she usually isn't bothered with the city, but whatever problem is occurring will likely draw her attention there.
Even a tiny pebble sends out great ripples after all...

I want to put some more details in here, but am currently still doing a bit of fleshing out.

Let's build your familiar. You've indicated that it is a falcon named Matvei. All familiars are spirits (rank 1, or 'squire' in the spirit hierarchy) but you spent four dots on the background so that it is an "embodied" familiar, so that it takes the form of an earthly creature.

Familiar page 83; modified Owl pg 316

I'll let you choose a Numina (see page 321-2), but I reserve the right to approve that. Blast, Discorporation, Wild Sense make sense. Claim and Soul Sense as well. A custom one based on a spell would also work.

Once you've chosen a Numina, I'll decide upon a Ban.

Feel free to review the Falcon Familiar below, and let me know if you think something should be changed.

Just a reminder you do have something to do to finish it off. Even before that, you can have it make an attack roll in game right away, (just not the dive attack).

I think Blast works

Okay, for the Ban, how about can never Blast? Heh, just kidding, of course.

How do you intend to use the falcon familiar? Just so I don't ban it from doing something you were hoping to use.

Spotting spirits, helpings to find mundane paths and other survival type rolls, and to protect me. Occasionally maybe looking for other things, can they learn new numina? I'm imagining they're a bit like hedge beasts
