Stepan Savelievich truly believes that there are threads coming into Moscow with all the new cultures, and his job is to guard the sleepers against this (intellectual) treads and lately he has become aware of a more physical tread from the abyss. He young, around 20 and works as a scribe. He fits in from the lower middle class to the lower nobility.
He looks like the image, without the thing on his arm.
He is an investigator more than a fighter
Stepan was sent to finish his study at Master Roscow who also helped him get a job as a scribe. Writing other people's letters.
On the third day of the master-apprenticeship, the master vanished. A tracking spell leads Stepan to a dark ally, where he finds bloody bits of Master Roscow. He had been eaten by some monster of the Abyss.
