Nàdair is an adolescent elf with about a century of live. She lives in a secluded elven community in the Mosstop forest and she often stays in Bromwich to meet with the locals, hear the gossip and news and perform both new and old acts. She is known for her tales, how her words mix with the sounds of her lute. She often changes her appearance but, as everyone knows, elves are magical, so most people assume this to be trick and a performance.

Half-orc paladin (conquest) of Haephin, the Righteous (Mask of radiant light and strong visage, Haephin represents glorious combat).

His mother used to be the kind of lady that everyone was friends with and knew about. She was the sweetest and most caring lady with a doting husband until her husband and her were attacked by an orc, who killed his father. He's the result of that encounter.

His father is still sore over him not going into the family business. He is the 3rd born son of a noble family and had no hopes of getting a title from the family, thanks to his brothers. So he stepped out on my own as a noble knight to make my own path in life.

Glenk is the second in command of the town guard who is just discovering his magical blood. As such, he is generally questioning and trying to learn about magic regardless of source. If you've come in to town in the last 30 years, he probably met him! He’s nice enough. Doesn’t expect too much, but he wears his chain mail everyday. He says he can’t grow rusty.

Being in Bromwich for so long, he knows most of the knights and the families of those who grew up in town. He met Elijah and Matthew when they were just some trouble makers in town. However, Glenk might be a little bigoted toward orcs, so troublemaker here may be relative... Elijah defended Matthew and convinced Glenk to give him a chance. He’s proud to see you both of them as knights but he wouldn’t tell them.

Mysterious wood elf rogue of unknown origin

Human druid of dream and the naturalist healer for the village.

Mandrake was left in the Mosstop forest and found by elves as a human child from an unknown origin. Since nobody knew who's child he was in Bromwich, the elves kept and raised him. He learned the ways of nature from them, becoming a herbalist who specializes in finding rare herbs to make both cures and poisons. Now he uses his knowledge to help both the elves and the humans when they are sick.

Because of this, He knows Glenk very well. Glenk has bad shoulders from swinging his hammer, a wound that is frequently checked by Mandrake, who provides Glenk with a smelly herb poultice to apply each night before sleep.

He is often Nàdair's traveling companion when he is tasked by the Archdruid to keep her safe. As such, Mandrake will protect her with his life simply because they are friends.

This tale is told in a theatrical manner with a lot of dancing and sylvan singing at the end.

Is it said that in the begging there was nothing, simply an ever-expanding and infinite arcane void. With time, this primal arcane void started to crystallize, creating the primal matter from where Ilyra, the progenitor of the world, was born. For countless ages Ilyra traveled this void, growing and learning about the primal arcane energies and the primal matter. She brought order to the arcane energies, organizing it as a ordered lines of magic as part of a worldwide mesh of energies we know call the Weave. It is because Ilyra created the Weave, the we can use magic, as the primal energies are too wild for a mortal to control. As Ilyra ordered the Weave, the primal matter also changed and organized into the fundamental elements of water and earth, the weave energies heated generating fire and the void became the filled with air.

After Ilyra was finished bringing order to the primal void, she burst with joy at the finished product of her work and celebrated by dancing and singing.
The world was created while Ilyra's preformed the most elegant and beautiful dance, known as the world dance. With her gracious movements, Ilyra enclosed all the elements withing a pocket of air creating the skies, compressed the earth creating the land and mountains, and dropped the water on the mountains, where it dripped creating the oceans. Lastly, she contained the fire in the sun to keep it from burning the newly created world, while bringing light to it. But this world was bare and empty. Ilyra's song was an enthralling melody made of ever-changing tones and containing the words of creation. In this way, all things were spoken into existence, the trees and the birds, the cycles of nature, life and dead. And this is how Ilyra completed all the Creation.

Now, I'm sure you have all wonder how lonely Ilyra must have felt all this time... If can let you in a secret, there are those you belive that Ilyra may have not been alone...

Long before the first stone of Bromwich was laid, a strange event thought to have its origin on a surge of arcane energies from what it today known as Woolsy's Tower, broke the veil between this world and a world of wonder, beauty and magic, intertwining them. However, this was not the only world that merged with ours. Our world was ravaged by plagues and the dead walked the earth destroying all that lived. This scourge started to creep into that magical world that we call the feywild, the world of the fey. The fey rallied in the fought to protect their world and all that lived from the spreading dead and desolation. The fight lasted for a long time with the fey making slow, but steady progress against the dead plagues as the arcane energies dissipated, allowing the world veil to regenerate. Many fey passed onto this world to keep the plague away from theirs, but once the world veil was strong again and the scourge was finally defeated, they could not return to their world. Locked in this world, these fey decided to nurture the nature that was recovering from the ashes of the war. These were the magical faeries created the Mosstop forest and that is why it is a magical and sacred place. Rumors have it that the veil never fully recovered and that these worlds still touch on specific days. This is why we do special prayers for the day of the dead and the night of the living.

This tale is a theatrical performance enhanced by some illusions and transmutation magic cast throughout.

You may have heard that the elves are magical beings nature, some may even have called them faeries. In the beginning, not all creatures had heard about Ilyra. The first faeries were the magical spirits of the trees and the rivers, the wind and the earth. They walked the world, learning about it and its nature. Some of these faeries learned that there all good and bad has the same cause, that all was embodied in a single entity and so they found Ilyra. Those faeries that followed the goddess were blessed with her grace and divine light. The mixture of the arcane faery magic with the divine force of Ilyra changed the faithful into the form of the primal elven spirits. Elves, at this point were shape-shifting spirits with an inherent connection to the Weave and a divine connection to Ilyra. As the story goes, Ilyra grew unsatisfied with being associated with everything directly. These elven spirits looking for her guidance, became so dependent, that their originally symbiosis became a parasitic relationship, quickly draining her magic. As such, Ilyra crafted Masks to wear at different times, infusing each Mask with an aspect of her powers, so the elves would not tap into her core essence. Over time, people throughout the world have codified the belief around the Masks that Ilyra wears in different situations, to the point that some originally viewed these Masks as different deities and not aspect of the same being. This was true for the naïve elves who, seeing Ilyra's Masks, split their faith and sealed their shape in associating to each aspect of Ilyra by excluding all other divine aspects. And this is how the elves came to be so varied in form and spirit.

Since other Masks of Ilyra are known, there are rumors that other types of elves no one ever met may exists, such as the nightmarish Shadar-Kai in the old horror stories, who carry the essence of Faesarin, the Dark.

It is said that everyone is born with some connection to the core elements of nature. Are some of us more sociable, more reckless or more patients than other? That is because we all have different attunement to the elements. Some legends of old even speak about the Genasi, people so attuned to an element that they are almost made of that one single essence. However, it is said that among the elves, a there is a special, more subtle attunement. It is said that some elves form a connection to these core elements through the seasons and cycles of nature. Very few people can say they met one, as these Eladrin, as they are known among the elven people, are rare and few. Within their communities, they are seen as divine signs sent by Ilyra to restore a lost balance to nature. In times of long lasting drought and burning sun, Eladrins with a stronger connection to the winter are known to be born, and use his blessing to restore the natural cycle and stop the endless summer.

Remember that keeping the natural balance is important, for without it, we cannot survive, so next time you see an elf, you may want to check if he is one of these Eladrins, because then you'd know that Ilyra is watching over us and will protect us.

As you all know, I grew up in the depths of the Mosstop forest, and I can tell you that it is indeed a magical place, full of wonder and beauty. It is said that deep within the forest lies a hidden sacred place, a vestiges of the divine magic of Ilyra. In this place, ancient powers lay dormant and old spirits stand guard to protect it from those who would taint it. However, these spirits are invisible to us, even to the druids of the forest who tend the sacrad grove. Now, there is a story, it happened not long ago, about a boy, maybe you've met him, maybe not, who got lost in the forest and could not return home. The forest is a dangerous place to be lost, its magic and beats already lead to many tragedies. However, this boy found himself next to a large and old tree, where he sat to take a breath and rest for a little while. Truth is, he was so tired, he feel asleep. But his dreams that day were like no other. He dreamed of this beautiful woman that came out of the tree, her touch rough as the bark of the tree itself, but simultaneously calming and comforting. She showed him the trees and the rivers, the sky and the earth and taught him about nature. When finished, she returned to the old tree and this boy, he tried to follow her but, in that moment, all this peacefulness was violently disturbed. As it was, the boy as being forcefully woken up from his dream by the man who found him sleeping, laying just outside of Bromwich's entrance.

It was a pleasant dream for sure, but as far as the boy was concerned, it was more than that...

When Ilyra was finishing weaving the primal arcane energies and the divine power of the words of creation was still echoing throughout the newly created world, the first peoples were born as the waves of the unfinished Weave rolled on the core elements of the featureless world. These peoples were shapeless masses of the elements imbued with arcane powers of the forming Weave, which allowed them to attune to the sparkle of sentience from the roaming divine energies. They were the elementals, creatures of pure essence, but no form. Due to their lack of form, they were capable of shaping the world, waters forcing their ways down the mountains to join their siblings in the great oceans, airs running free with the force of winds, fires unconstrained dropping from the sun. This created a dynamic world, as if a shadow of the original world dance, but this dance very quickly became out of tune. Earth was scorched by the falling fires, wounded by the flowing waters and blown by the passing airs. In their rage, the earths splint the lands, diverting the waters and locking it into lakes, and the earths dug caves, locking the fires under it. Before it was too late, the airs stood up to the fury of the earths, as raging hurricanes laid waste to all in their path. And so the elemental war started, changing the world into an ever changing chaos of elemental storms.

After finishing weaving, Ilyra noticed what the elementals were doing to her creation, and so she split the elements apart, and shaped them, giving them a form. To contain the raging elements, gigantic forms were required and so the second peoples, the giants, were created. In their new forms, these people were tasked by Ilyra to keep the elementals away, the fire giants would stretch to the sun and keep the fires from falling, the stone giants would walk the caves and block the earths from escaping, the frost giants would lock the waters in ice, the cloud giants would control the airs and the storm giants would pacify the storms created during the war. With the chaos of the first peoples under control by the ordering of the second peoples, Ilyra slept, with her faint light shining upon the new world.

There was a time when giants roamed the world. These were enormous beings were the crafters of the world, moving mountains, digging lakes, shifting storms. As they shaped the world, the order they brought allowed for new life to flourish, a small radiant seedling pushing its way out of the bare soil, trying to reach the sky. Absorbing the remains of the divine energies echoing from the creation, this small seedling slowly grew into a prodigious tree, whose roots snaked deeply into the core of the world and whose leaves stretched into the endless skies. The giants cared for this tree, for they understood that it resonated with Ilyra's gift of life. Tended by the giants, who now saw themselves as Ilyra's chosen and the guardians of creation, an endless garden of plants and flowers spread from this one tree, covering the entire world in green. And from this garden all sort of plants sprouted, and all sort of creatures and beasts spawned.

One day the giants noticed a little lizard had climbed all the way to the top branches of the tree and simply stood there under the warm sun. No other creature had so far approached the tree, so they were intrigued by this little lizard, but decided to wait and observe it as it drunk the nectar from the flowers and the sap from the tree. Absorbing the divine powers of the tree, the lizard grew and grew until it me a dragon, so big a creature that the branches of the tree started to bend. Afraid that the dragon was sapping the tree's essence, the giants sliced it in half in a frenzied action. Now, until this moment, there was no time and there was no dead. This was the first blood ever drawn since creation. And it was a curse... As the blood from the dragon dripped on to the flowers far down below, they absorbed it and, since the entire garden was connected through the tree's roots, the emerald extension was covered by blood red flowers. The tree itself lost it's leaves for the first time. But the dragon did not die, for it regenerated and re-grew as two. One of the dragons sought revenge from the giants and from this original dead, evil was created. The two dragons fought since the beginning and, from their wounds new dragons.

Ilyra woke from her slumber, as she felt her essence also splitting. Unknown to the giants, by feeding from the tree, the little lizard became deeply connected to the tree's divine essence. As the lizard split, so slowly did the tree, breaking the world apart, one piece a shadow world of unchanging silent grey wastelands, the other a bright world of ever-changing forests. Ilyra quickly pushed the two worlds back together. Once the words were stable and the creation saved, she withdrew the divine essence from the dragons, leaving a vacuum in these creatures that was filled by the arcane Weave. Ans so the third peoples, creature of magic, were born. The giants panicked as they witnessed all the destruction they wrought. Afraid of what they had done and expecting Ilyra wrath to fall on them, they ran deep in the earth and oceans or high in the mountains and skies and hid from her as rocks and glaciers, hills and clouds.

It is said that some of these giants are still hidden around, perhaps some of those giants tombstones by the Wayward Saint could be one?

But on certain nights if the moon was right

Then they picked him up off the ground
Then they threw him in the swamp and they stood there and laughed
Till the black water sucked him down.
Then they turned around and went back to the shack
And they picked up the money and ran.
But they hadn't gone nowhere when they realized
They were running in quicksand.
And they struggled and screamed but they couldn't get away
Then just before they were gone
They could hear that old man laughing
In a voice that was loud and strong.

The mayor of Bromwich. Summoned us to help with some troubles:
* Mikhail, town guard captain, is meeting with the Stormlash tribes from the mountains this week to negotiate some goliath-forged weapons (his hobby?)
* Caravan attacks in the Hadrigan's Swamp
* The dwarves of Glitterhall have some ancestor spirits attacking the outskirts of the stronghold.
* Robberies and the stabbing deaths of a few folk in the merchant ward
* Wolves being too close and too aggressive

She seems to be most worried about the Hadrigan's Swamp, which is the only trade road and the fat that the most seasoned hunters can't keep the wolves at bay. Has some violent outbursts either when things don't go her way or when too stressed.

She seems to be fairly incompatible, maybe even dislike, with the laid back, happy-go-luck attitude of spring Nàdair.

Personal attendant to Lady Elayn and npot a Bromwich guard. Also the pretty face that Nàdair got a crush for (now) and potential reason for jealousy of the mayor.

Manly human hunter, proud of his manly skills and dislikes having Nàdair doing his mainly work, while wishing to give Nàdair his attention.

The Smith at the forge that has been robbed

Werewolves aren't affected at all by normal weapons, unless treated with silver, magic or magical weapons do have effect.
The elves in Mosstop know there have been werewolves in the forest, even after they've all been chased out of Bromwich a little over 300 years ago. Since they've not been overwhelmingly harmful for the forest and it's inhabitants, keeping a normal balance intact, they've not interfered with them, yet they don't feel the need to protect them when a new hunt is set up.

Fegstaf mentions an old gnome witch tat is said to have this tea that could turn wolves back into men. She travels with an elf ,Aetoris, and makes some kick ass tea, mostly known for her special mushroom tea, which is the origin of most stories. Oma doesn't live nearby, she's traveling constantly, not staying long in the same place. She's been with the druids a few times for a week or so, and Aetoris makes sure their other elf friends get a visit too before they continue on their journey. Nàdair has not met them yet.

Aetoris, the male elf that travels with Oma, He's actually older than she is, but she definitely doesn't see it that way.
