Hey guys, someone start consistent active game of Numenera. Atm i am only GM in one (which i like very much hehe), and player in another small, cozy one.
I do not have other books than Numenera (well i have but not full sets and not the ones i like - from old times / presents). And i would like to play more of it.

C'mon folks, i know you have it. We can do it. Woo Hoo.

:) I have the Numenera rules, but alas, until I play I don't think I could GM one without a good intro adventure that teaches the mechanics.

Well, that means you are +1 player. I can GM, but i GMing very complex campaign already. And i want to be player in some thrilling Numenera story.
But this thread is just started. Our Numenera GM will find us here in close (i hope) future.

Ok, so I've been thinking about this. I have a story that I would like to run. Would it be a problem if it isn't set in the Numenera base setting? That is all the rules and stuff will be the same, but the geography and locations will be my design.

Look, in Numenera it's possible.... but denying people to play core Numenera is not good - the thing that Numenera Ninth world continent is huge - and there plenty place for everyone's imagination. I do use it myself too in my setting.

Check Ninth World geography. And set up your campaign in some other place on that continent, or even dimension, or planet.
Numenera is complex thing, but it make sense to leave to players the choice to build the characters according core setting.

I'd be down for this, or for a campaign set in the base Ninth World. I would like to eventually run a Numenera game, but I'm looking to be a player first and get my feet under me with the Cypher System.

I own the core rulebook and I have Into the Night as well. More to come from that Kickstarter as they are released.

As for sticking to the core Ninth World, I am personally not attached to that. I always take campaign settings as more of a guide for inspiration than necessarily canon lore. Just my general RPG setting philosophy; I lean homebrew.

I am currently playing in my first ever Numenera game so I'm eager to explore the core setting. But yeah I'd definitely be down for a homebrew setting as well as long as numenera (ancient, mysterious tech from lost civilizations) also abound in your homebrew setting.

Well my game's setting is set in Ninth World but it is not core. It features completely separated place in Ninth World which is not Steadfast/Beyond. It coexist in same world, but have a lot of different things to offer and have a lot of own specific rules.. Plus dimensions. Both of them set in Ninth World but there a lot of homebrew in it.

@ Falryx Partial Spoiler don't use Violet Vale unless you collect the tears of your PCs...

Also not sure if there were enough people and a GM to start a game for sure from the discussion. The system is pretty fun so let me know if you need another player.

Yah, I need to get back to promoting to get GP more users...

Well, imo there will be enough players for Numenera game. Not all players playing Numenera posted here.

Are y'all still looking for more players? I just picked up the core book plus the players option and would love to try it out

@ Ceadron

The new game that just opened up is full up and the replacement players for the long running game were filled a little while ago as well. Are you looking to get in on a game or specifically a Numenera game? There's a bunch of 5E D&D games floating around this past week as well.

I am about to get my feet wet GMing a live game with some friends. At some point I will try and run a game on here, but I have said that many times. Life isn't giving me RPG time like I want it to.

If another player would help get another game going though, I can do that.

I am already in a few games, and will be running a 5E game here real soon, so I don't want to over commit.

I GMing one quite complex (people say it is most complex game with complex story/plot/verbose updates) Numenera game.
I do not looking for any player injections but if i will do that once, i will post about it. The only thing that if you are Newbie it's better to try or learn system, and understand if you do like Numenera or not before you are trying to commit to really complex game.

I will gladly play any game as player, and i can commit to more one Numenera game for sure. (atm i am player in 1, and GM in 1 - total of 2 games)

There are currently two open slots in The Strange West. In case you are not familiar, Numenera and The Strange both use the cypher system and are virtually identical. The terminology is a little different, but gameplay is identical.

Send me a note, or post here, if you're interested.
