Introducing the Mystery

Burt, still a tad curious (and disappointed) his toy didn't transform, elects to take it home with him (just the toy, not the box). It's not that he's going to "play" with it, but he will likely fiddle with it again to see if it does any tricks.

Julie seems to suddenly remember the Pax Directus, and before she leaves, picks it up and puts it on one of the shelves, next to an old beat-up Boba Fett action figure. She tilts her head, considering its placement for a moment, then on a whim, stands Boba Fett up and positions his arm to rest on the robot's shoulder. She nods with a satisfied smile and is ready to go.

The Kids take the elevator back up through the metal shaft, climb out the manhole, and the cover hisses and hums as the plate slides across the top, sealing it back up. They say their goodbyes and head home for dinner.
