Since we're still rolling, let's see what the RNG says my job is...
Reroll, do not meet requirements for Gladiator...
Bah, failed Learsis, too!
While I qualify for Querrid, I think we already have one?
I'll play as a merchant! Oh wait, failed that, too.
Can't be a Githerin.
You know what? I'm just going to pick. I think I'll try my hand at being a muadra sailor. I added the +2 to Learn and bumped it to 13. I also switched around Group 1 attributes, CON (was 8) 16, Social (was 11) 6, Color (was 16) 13.

Currently working on a pirate background (if such occupations exist), where my character worked as a navigator and cook. Do airships exist?

Yongap felt very close to his father and valued the time spent with him, because the skills in sailing and fishing helped Yongap feel unrestricted. He spent time studying the many moons, not only because they helped in navigation, but also because of the natural energies Yongap could pull. He felt drawn to the white moon of Tra, as if its association with space and place reflected what was in his heart.
Despite his yearning to wander, Yongap did want to spend time with his mother back home, if anything because her stews and soups were quite filling and savory, despite the apparent lack of resources. Yongap sought to learn his mother's recipes whenever he could.
Yongap constantly wanted to venture out beyond the village, but his father and brother kept him in check. Things finally came to a head when, in a fit of anger, Yongap destroyed the boats and nets and ran off, warping as far away as possible.
Leaving the village: 1d100 roll of 59
He joined up with a ship captain passing through the area. Yongap later found out that this ship was a band of pirates, seeking adventure and whatever good fortunes could be had. He worked as a navigator and cook, and became close friends with the ship's captain and first mate.
Later, after many adventures with the pirate crew, Yongap and the rest of the crew were enjoying some well-earned comforts at port, while the Captain and First Mate met with local officials. Yongap was asked to deliver an important message to the captain, but before he could complete his task, he overheard the conversation the Captain was having. It seemed that the Captain was set on retiring and using his spoils to acquire governor-ship. As a gesture of good faith, he would sacrifice his crew to local authorities.
Yongap was devastated at this betrayal. Forgetting what the message was, he immediately warped away and fled, seeking his own adventure.

But you guys keep going too fast for me to provide you the skills that you get with your occupation. They're listed below; in places where they coincide with skills you've bought with points, you get them from the profession first, then spend points afterward. So that may mean that you'll be spending points differently.
As a sailor, you get the following:
- Sailing (Easy): 12 (Experienced)
- Knife (combat): 10 (Familiar)
- Geography (easy): 12 (Experienced)
- 2 languages of your choice at Familiar (I'll tell you the skill ranks when you choose; different languages are easier or harder)
+3 to your swim skill
+2 to your climb skill
Choose 1 of the following, then roll a d6 with the die roller in the thread. If you get a 6, choose another.
- Storytelling (hard): 4 (Familiar)
- Shipwright (Hard): 4 (Familiar)
- Drinking (Easy): 12 (Experienced)
- Acubon Interaction (Hard): 8 (Experienced)
- Salu Interaction (Hard): 8 (Experienced)
Acubon are the fresh-water, aloof mer-people; Salu are the salt-water, gregarious ones.
