I have a question for more experienced users, and/or Keleth: is it possible to link to a particular POST, rather than just the thread?
Here's two cases where that would be useful:
* A bunch of games use a "Maps" thread to provide maps to the players. These can get filled up with maps as the campaign progresses, and I want to point players to a specific one.
* I as a GM or player may write something in a post that doesn't have an effect until much later in the game. Then, when it becomes relevant, I want to remind people of what was posted then.
It seems like I should be able to reference a specific post with a link, such as http://gamersplane.com/forums/thread/1062/?p=30934#30934, which would then take me to the page containing the thread 1062, and then display the page in the browser with post #30934 at the top of the view (as if we'd used an HTML anchor tag). It DOES do this if I edit the post and submit it; the page reloads with the edits and jumps the view to that post, regardless of where it is in the page. But just using that link (above) does not have the same result if I load it in a page (rather than getting there by an edit of the post): the page loads the thread and delivers me to the top of the page, rather than at the specific post.
