Many thanks for having me tyrant. I was thinking of finally trying out a pact of the blade warlock, Levistus Tiefling race. We're starting at level 1 right?

I'll start hammering out the character backstory/bio as I go along.

Eye Tyrant You have any suggestions on things, like most of the books put out provide backgrounds or suggestions on how things might fit in classes, races, backgrounds.

Ghosts of Saltmarsh had a lot of aquatic themed backgrounds
Curse of Strahd had some monster hunter and haunted ones.
Tomb of Annihilation had Archeologists and Explorers.

What might fit with what you have planned so we can better make characters for the game ?

Well, the land of Eirul is vast and varied. Monsterous races are accepted in some places but not others. Humans, elves, and dwarves are the three most populous races, making up about 30% total. Not a whole lot of aquatic stuff but sea battles may happen. Gith are rare, as are mind flayer, though not unheard of. Rumors of dark monsters such as vampires and werewolves swirl as well.

I've never played a wizard. I think i will dibs the wizard since we have a hexblade and a paladin, we should be ok on Melee damage.

So, with no starting items, does that mean the Wizard, Warlock, and Paladin will not have their Spellcasting items? And therefore be incapable of magic?

You can still do cantrips, but you won't be itemless long, I can promise that.

Alright! How about for the spellbook? Should I hold off on choosing spells if I don't have the spellbook, or should I pick them for when I do get one?

This is a valid point, that was sent to me that I never thought about. Is everyone cool with an R type game due to violence and language? Not overt sexuality or anything like that.
