I'll put general info about the races here, primarily basic locations.
Humans - The most adaptable and adventurous of the races. Can be found anywhere and don't have a "Typical" location.
Elves
High Elves - Seek out great magics wherever they can. Many can be found in Falsepeak, the Magic Capital of the world.
Wood Elves - Usually don't like non-elf civilizations. Can be found in any forest area, the largest of which in the Faerie Forest
Drow - Found in the darkness and cold, typically in the Twisting Mountains. If they venture outside of the mountains, you'll find them moving at night and staying in buildings with little to no windows.
Gnomes
Forest gnomes - curious and creative, these are the most common gnomes, though you’ll most likely find them in the forests of Itetha.
Rock gnomes - love the cities. Often take up residence where they can sell their magical wares. Found in most large cities except Baregrave, where magic is forbidden.
Halflings
Lightfoot - more timid (typically) than their stout cousins. Most Lightfoot halflings tend to not wander far from home. Their residence is primarily in the plains north of The Proving Grounds, near Bosfied.
Stout - adventurous and brave, stout halflings can be found wherever adventure can be found. The largest group is found near Radfield where they can adventure into the desert.
Dwarf
Hill dwarf - smaller than their cousins, Hill dwarves have keener senses and prefer the rolling hills to the tougher mountains. Largest settlement is at Cabridge.
Mountain - strong and sturdy, these dwarves enjoy the tough life of miners. Found in any mountain town.
Duergar - mean and cruel, these dwarves rarely go into towns. Instead they live in seclusion in the mountains and desert.
Orc - usually live in roving bands in the desert. Nomadic in nature, they generally only come to cities to trade.
Dragonborn - very close clans. The two largest settlements are outside of Mudmouth in the mountains and the city of Akaport.
Tiefling - not particularly sentimental and don’t generally stay in large groups, because of this, they can be found anywhere.
