Allowed Races
All Races in PHB*
* Half Orcs will be changed to full Orcs, there will be no Half-Orcs in this flavor of Eberron.
* Dwarves are part Earth Genasi, which explains their abilities. There is no change mechanically to dwarf abilities and feature, for now.
* Variant Human, with the addition of an additional Feat.
Warforge, Shifter, Changeling ONLY **
** Races from WGE
Lizardfolk, Eladrin, Goblin, Kobold, Hobgoblin, Aasimar, Genasi
*** Races from XGE, VGM, EEPC
Note: You are requested/expected to RP partly based on your race, up to a degree.There are a ton of references out there that would help you better understand the mindset/culture of a specific race. Please check out the References thread for more details.
Standard Array for Ability Scores (27)
Racial bonuses - you only have to put one of your race's ability bonuses to one of predefined abilities, the other bonus can go to any ability, with a Max bonus adjustment of +2 on an ability.
Ex: Rock Gnome is normally +2 Int, +1 Con. With this rule you have to put the +1 or +2 to either Int OR Con, but can assign the remaining bonus to any ability you want.
Allowed Classes = All Classes in PHB + Artificier *
* If you wish to use a homebrew class or archtetype, please consult with me so that we can determine how it fits in the campaign setting.
All PCs start with a free Feat at Level 1, BUT check with me first if the feat would be allowed. Racial feats are included in your list of choices. Homebrew Feats are iffy at this point but let's give it a chance as long as it is reasonable.
Select a Background, then pick 2 Traits, 1 Ideal, 1 Bond and 1 Flaw from the Background. And yes, you can pick Traits, Ideals or Bonds or Flaws from other Backgrounds as well given that you can RP it into your character. And yes, if you find some homebrew Backgrounds, Traits, Ideals, Bonds and Flaws that are applicable, then we can talk about it and get it into play.
Every PC starts with 1 Inspiration. You will get the chance to use and gain Inspiration as the game progresses.
Morally good or neutral alignments are acceptable. Evil PCs are not welcome.
Each PC starts with default number of Action (Hero) Points, as outlined in pg 264 of the DMG, appropriate to the PC level.
HP at level 1 starts at full + CON bonus, afterwards HP is calculated as normal on succeeding levels. If you gain an HP score lower than half of your expected max HP, you automatically get half.
Starting equipment will be based on standard rules in the PHB, DMG. You can your default equipment roster by exchanging it with relevant items of equal or less cost.
