Calvas Feylendirr
Half-elf sorcerer
Backstory:
While playing hide-and-seek Calvas came into contact with an ancient, magical statue. It filled him with magical power that he couldn't control.
Every time he'd get upset the powers within him would begin to burst out. At first only doors would slam shut or candles snuffed out through a sudden gust of wind. But as Calvas grew it up it began to worsen. Tables would fly through the room and windows would burst.
His parents were torn between their love for him and the unbearablity of his magical outbursts.
Ultimatively he was sent to the monastery of the Blue Mages, a place where wizards kept knowledge and searched for a deeper understanding of the powers that fuel magic.
The wizards quickly realized that the powers that took possession of Calvas could not be removed. Only controlled. In years of meditation and training, Calvas managed to ease the tides of his emotions. He grew up to be a stoic teenager. Emotions are to be accepted but should never take control of you. In the day he would train and meditate and in the nights he read in the library. He wanted to understand what this power was. Did it choose him or was it just pure chance that he was infused with them? He learned many things and he also learned to wield his power , but in none of the hundreds of scrolls and books that he read he would find an answer to the question that burned in him since he got this power.
When the high king wanted to summon the brightest representatives from the eight kingdoms, the wizards chose Calvas to be sent there.
They knew that a young man like him should make experiences beyond the walls of the monestary.
Calvas was also glad as he hoped to find more information about his condition in the citadel's archives...
