Posting frequency
I feel that we all need to work together to keep the action moving at a reasonable pace that incorporates our lives outside of the game. That said, here are the general guidelines I will follow for posting ("days" will be measured from the timestamp of the last post in the game thread):
*** No player posts in the game thread for 3 days: GM will check in with players in the OOC thread.
*** No substantive posts in 7 days in any thread by players: the GM will close the game.
Absences
If you are on vacation, or something IRL interferes with your ability to post, just be honest with us about the things that pull you away from the game. A quick note in the OOC thread or PM will suffice. I will hold myself to the same standard.
IC Posts
I'm not a stickler on how you indicate IC speech, but here's the convention I will try to adhere to:
*** Character speech
*** Character thoughts
*** All other speech/thought
I also use colors to indicate other-than-normal speech/thoughts.
OOC Posts
If you need to make an out-of-character (OOC) comment in the game thread, please use OOC tag at the end of your in-character (IC) post. Spoiler it if you like. Ideally, there shouldn't be any stand-alone OOC posts in the game thread; it makes for a cleaner game forum. Use the OOC thread for those purely OOC comments.
Rolling
You can make dice rolls in your IC posts, or in your private thread, if desired. If you do make rolls in your private thread, post a link to the results in the OOC comment. EX: Fort save: [url= "the post with my roll in it"]20[ /url]
