If you want to ally with another player, just list it here.

The following NPCs have defensive pacts
Windrise/Terminus
Windrise/Southcove
Goldport/Invernë
Greenwall/Running/Foundation
Foundation/Stilbourne/Willowvale/Goldport
Stilbourne/Fallowfield/Fireheart

I think my nation is too young to have alliances beyond the tradition Covenant relationships. The Council Lands are outside the Old Lands, but close enough for a maritime trade route, so I could consider an alliance being establish early on. I'll need to see where everyone ends up to say ore about this ;) Can you also ally with NPCs?

You can ally with NPCs. Each group has it's own rules for allying, which I don't want to get into TOO much to avoid gaming it in ways I haven't forseen, but if you take a good look at them you might be able to figure it out.

those are some interesting alliances. Are the NPCs outside the old lands? I can't find Terminus :(
Also, would we know what each one of these produces?

I think I will start with no alliances, but I'll be sending emissaries on my first post if that's ok. I think that would be a good place to start, as the aim now is to stabilise the region :D

You'll probably know a bit. I'm not going to give them detailed factbooks, but I will have brief summaries up at some point today.

Sure, let's do that. I wasn't going to have the mission say or do anything just yet. Sowing the seed first. I imagine the sequence goes:

- (backstory, strange things happening in both our territories)
- why have you decided to make contact: showing support, bringing some news or discovery, adding a complication, etc (your post)
- what my response will be: grateful for help, suspicious of coincidence, still having baggage of empire, etc (my post)
- potentially: you stay longer, or I send a return delegation, new sea trade route opens
