As you walk along, the scrub becomes a little less and there is a pathway that seems to be 5' wide in most parts. In front of you, the pathway continues forward and a small, muddy pool can be seen to the right of the pathway. The Moathouse is crumbled in parts and there are arrow slits every 10'.

To the right of you, the Moathouse wall continues along and has crumbled somewhat in parts as well. The moat is full of muddy water and appears deep in parts.MOATHOUSE 1

Lets do this.

Towards the top of Map 2, there's a spot where the rubble has spilled out into the water, almost all the way across. It looks like we might be able to cross there, once we make sure that that stones aren't going to sink under us. With the amount of decay in that area, the wall might have crumbled enough that there's a gap we can squeeze through. If not, at least we can get to the dry land alongside the wall, and follow that till we find an entrance or a good place to climb.

I didn't notice that part. That sounds like a good plan.

Hey everyone, I have some bad news.

My family has run into some rough times all of the sudden, and its going to be taking a lot of my time and attention for the foreseeable future. I won't have the ability to keep up with my games. I apologize for the sudden withdrawal, but I don't have much choice at the moment. Hopefully I can dive back into all the fun after a while, but it'll be a few months at least. So I'm gonna just bow out of the games I'm in.

Is the footman's mace single handed or two-handed? I just went down an AD&D 1E rabbit hole trying to find out...

You need to browse the revised edition to find out it is a M class weapon meaning one handed for man size users. The original books didn't have size class for weapons stated. You had to just know the weapon.

OK, I'm getting the impression that this is First Edition AD&D. I may still have the books from 40 years ago but I'm not sure. I probably can't read them anymore because my eyes are so bad. Surgery on Monday may not solve that completely. I'll try to figure something out.

None of that 2nd edition nonsense!! :-P I believe this campaign is AD&D 1st edition, sans Unearthed Arcana..., just the good old PHB with the wizard on the cover (or if you're feeling like it, the older, Demon Idol cover...)
