New Zaangoria

New Zaangoria
Rough approximation of population: Zaangors(40%), Human slaves(25%), Dwarf slaves(15%), Elf slaves(10%), other race slaves(10%)
Location: Lake Wood(At the East)
Capital: La’eka Warued(Zaangor attempt at translation)
Society: It's been not too long since the time the Zaangors stormed the peaceful settlement. After plenty of building burning and villager slaughtering, the rest of the civilians that didn't manage to escape are captured as slaves. Despite being outnumbered by their slaves, the Zaangors are ruthless in their control of them, threatening with the killing of children or well-respected people if the population refused to obey them.
The slaves are mainly used as Workforce, while the Zaangors make up the Military with a few slaves used as meatshield.
Government: The Nation is still in it's early phase, but it is clearly ruled as a dictatorship. There is a single Zaangor who is recognised as the leader, who is named Hra'an Dakara. He is respected as not only a great warrior, but as someone who still carries the wisdom of the olden days. Hra'an has a council of elders who he picks as being intelligent enough to give him advice. The rest of the Zaangors are expected to obey whatever the leader or the council says, where the punishment is being instructed to be killed by his fellow brothers. (Brothership is very commonly formed by the Zaangors as they value strength in numbers and common interests.) Other than the respect of authority, the Zaangors are allowed to do anything else they wish. The slaves are to be taken care of, but sometimes "accidents" are allowed to happen if the Council does not know of it.

Flag/Symbol:
It will look something like this, but with a bird's head also on it.https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51YSmmP90PL._SY500_.jpg

Religion:

Zaang is considered to be the creator and inspirer for the Zaangor. In fact, Zaangor means "Children of Zaang", where "gor" translates closely to mean "Descendent" in their language.

It is commonly believed that Zaang was slain by another god, which caused their sudden loss of being able to cast spells. They attempted a ritual that a cleric proposed could revive a god, so they perform the sacrifice of 99'999 Zaangors to appease the god of death. Perhaps there was a miscalculation, or perhaps the death god was cunning, as the revived Zaang was corrupted. This is believed as all the Zaangors suddenly growing horns on their feathery heads. They soon turn on each other, and the grand city of Zaangoria was destroyed.

There is a new belief that Zaang plans to make New Zaangoria a mighty empire, and also to cure Himself and His children of their curse.

Zaang has a holy number "9". So groups, especially those in authority, will make use of this number whenever they can.

The Zaangors know of other gods that existed in their world view. They are known as Kore, the god of war and killing, Nug, the god of death and disease, and Salar, the god of love and fertility. The Zaangor do not worship these gods, but believe that they exist, for they are the gods of their neighbours in the old kingdom. Only their creator god Zaang, is the sole entity of their praise and inspiration.

(This may be repeated information, but I'm copying my pitch to Falconloft here.)
Long ago, there was a race of noble bird people called Zaangors living in a distant country who celebrated the arts and magic. One day, their god, Zaang, was said to be slain by a rival god, resulting in them suddenly losing their ability to cast magic. The people gathered together to sacrifice themselves to revive their god. Their god did came back to life and returned his magic, but Zaang was corrupted in his revival. This led to the Zaangor to grow horns on their heads and start a civil war. Soon, all culture and knowledge they once possessed was lost in the fires of arsony.

There are survivors, and they traveled to find a new land. They soon find a human settlement, and violently claimed it as their own.

What the nation of New Zaangoria have:

1) Magic. The sorcerors of the nation are able to wield different sorts of magic, but the more popular ones are in the school of Evocation, Transmutation, and Conjuration. This is due to their past of creating sculptures and other physical arts.

2) Warriors. The Zaangor fighters are always designing new ways to fight the enemy, such that in times of peace they also treat combat as performance art. Due to this, the New Zaangorians are still able to design armour that balances protection and manoeuvrability, as well as wielding curved blades meant to disarm the enemy.

3) Culture. The Zaangors value uniqueness, and so everyone will try to look different from each other. This has also been carried over to the New Zaangorians, with tattoos, hair dye, and rings marking themselves from each other.

4) Language. The Zaangors had a very rich language. Unfortunately, most of their vocabulary is lost. Now, the New Zaangorians have an ever-changing language, with tight groups of friends creating slangs that are unique to the group of individuals themselves.

5) Religion. They still worship Zaang. He is considered the embodiment of wisdom, knowledge, hope, change, and freedom to the people of New Zaangor, even though they are now suffering from the curse of their god's resurrection. They are now more prone to celebrate violence, vandalism, and general mayhem than their predecessors.

Before the arrival: Hra'an gathers his men, and set forth to sea to find a new home. The trip was perilous, as there were monsters and storms that could've wrecked any ship that dared to cross the ocean. But due to the power of the artifact known as Zaang's Astrolabe(which Hra'an stole upon fleeing the burning city), the fleet of ships was able to survive the many dangers of the ocean. Because of this, Hra'an names the ocean to be "The Terrific Ocean", or "Aahrawa Shoos'hwee" in Zaangor tongue. (Fun fact: Aahrawa directly translates to "Scream-inducing", while Shoos'hwee directly means "Vast water".)

The Astrolabe, unfortunately, was lost to the waves during a particularly bad storm. But after the storm, the fleet was able to find land. Upon arriving on the new land, Hra'an led his warriors to climb over the mountain in front of them. When they saw the other side, they found a large village full of different races living in peaceful harmony. This was a great opportunity for the Zaangor to establish their new nation...

The common Zaangors:
They mostly form their own groups in any number, or hierarchy system to do whatever they like. But when they receive an order from an assistant to help them with a civic duty, they have to oblige or risk offending the authorities.

The Slaves:
They are fed minimally, and sleep in cramp environments. They are allowed to sleep with their loved ones, but races are to be separated for logistical and functional purposes.
