Akh, the Wizard

I have started individual threads for each of the PCs. While we will retain the shared Character Creation thread for discussing the characters a a group, I intend the individual threads to serve as a place to talk about character development as the story progresses. In addition to game mechanics progression, we can talk about your personal story arc here. Where would you like to see your character go? What will they discover and achieve, and how will they change? That sort of thing.

Akh, the Wizard, a linguist specialized in dead languages that found an old tome that belonged to an old god-pharaoh. (played by deadpool_qc)
Jabes.plays.RPG says:
Everyone: Did you grow up in this wasteland, or did you come here from someplace else? If the former, how have you survived? If the latter, what drew you here?

Wizard: There is a place of power in the desert that only you know. Describe it.
deadpool_qc says:
It's not a place, in his spellbook, Akh (that's his name now. It means "Intelligence" in egyptian) found a passage describing a long ritual where you had to draw a complex series of patterns on the floor using your own blood.... He has not tried it...yet...
SJoyner72 says:
It was with Akh that the Swordsman first delved into the forgotten tomb. Akh was searching for ancient lore and legends, the Swordsman was a caravan guard at the time. Nearly the entire party were killed by the stone construct guardians of the tomb. The Swordsman with his ancient blade and Akh fought their way back to the surface. Bleeding from a dozen wounds, the Swordsman fell into darkness and awoke days later in an oasis, having been saved by the wizard.

BONDS

The Swordsman will play an important role in the events to come. I have foreseen it! (That's a vision I had in the dungeon, when he touched the sword of vengeance for the first time.)

The Swordsman is keeping an important secret from me. (The vow to protect Akh)

Soro is woefully misinformed about the world; I will teach them all that I can.
(From Soro: Akh does not understand life in the wild, so I will teach them.) We both think our view of the world is the right one, we'll need to find a middle ground...[/quote]

Akh was born and grew in the wasteland, in the town of [insert biggest town in the wasteland here]. He was raised in a library and didn't really care for the outside. Is love was translating old books, until a few years ago, when he started translating an old tome that turned out to be a spellbook. After translating a few pages, Akh taught himself the magical arts. He also found notes and indications for a place that might contain more knowledge. Using what little money he had, he funded a small expedition to that place. The swordsman was one of the guard he hired, and also one of the last survivor with himself...

Note to Jabes.plays.RPG
Lol, I do want to play a wizard, and yes I do find the Immolator class interresting. So I simply thought that later in the story, if the opportunity presents itself, that the class change could be a way to reflect the changes my character is going through. Don't worry Jabes, I'm the kind of person that's not shy about asking for something if I really want it or to say when I don't like something. But thanks, I'm happy you asked. It only proves tome that I was right thinking you be a great dm. :)
