This will be a continuous work in progress, to be expanded as we discover the world together.
The Adventurers
• The Swordsman: the Fighter, "a man with no name," has a past that he's running towards (or away from).
• Akh: the Wizard, a linguist specialized in dead languages that found an old tome that belonged to an old god-pharaoh.
• Soro Samma N'Sei: the elf Ranger from a waterseeker clan. Their mantra is water is life and any that endanger or desecrate water are beyond evil.
• Jana Dunestrider: the halfling Druid of the desert.
People
• Amenemhet: a powerful god-pharoah.
• Galtor Azem: a foolhardy adventurer, who hired the Swordsman expedition to the Tomb of the Forgotten Warrior. Galtor Azem died during the expedition.
• Hisadat Alramal: a bandit leader who often raided academic expeditions. His name means "Sand Reaper." He was looking for relics of power for his master, the sorcerer Atekhramun. Killed in single combat against The Swordsman.
• Atekhramun: a sorcerer who hired the Sand Reaper to hunt down Akh and the Swordsman.
• Khut-hotep: a powerful god-pharoah entombed in Shunet el Zebib.
• Nechepso: a sorcerer. Khut-hotep's most trusted adviser. Plotted with Amenhemet to betray Khut-hotep, kill him, and usurp Khut-hotep's throne. As revenge, Khut-hotep cursed Nechepso to guard his tomb at Shunet el Zebib forever.
• The Forgotten Warrior: the last owner of the sword that The Swordsman now wields. May or may not be the same person as an unnamed general said to have served one of the god-pharaohs.
Places
• Golden Sky Oasis: home of the halfling tribe of the Druid, Jana Dunestrider, where she met and tended to the Swordsman, and Akh, the Wizard. Its location is a closely guarded secret.
• Al-Ealee: an ancient walled trading settlement clustered around three lush oases, where the Swordsman often finds work.
• Tomb of the Forgotten Warrior: site of the ill-fated expedition which only Akh and the Swordsman survived.
• Sietch Jalmud: once a warren of dwellings carved in rock, now a busy trading post on the caravan route.
• Shunet El Zebib: an ancient ruin and oasis about a week's travel from Sietch Jalmud. The oasis remains, but the ruin collapsed after the adventurers awakened and defeated Nechepso.
• Sakhra Crag: a basalt outcropping midway between Sietch Jalmud and Shunet el Zebib.
• Alwadi al-Sab'atayn: a raging river that lies in the bottom of a deep canyon. The river flows not with water, but stone, sand, and flame.
