Kurusawa
Capital: Minkasa
Location: TBD
Dominant Races: Humans (70%), korobokuru (dwarves) (25%), hengeyokai (5%)
Government: The governing body of Kurusawa is the Imperial Court, under the capable leadership of Yoshirou Akama. The emperor is a figurehead. The real power behind the throne is his council, which consists of the Prime Minister, the High Priest, the Minister of Agriculture, the Minister of Finance, and the Emperor's wife. This body writes the laws and makes decisions, which are they conveyed to the Emperor to be carried to the people.
Society: Kurusawa is an enlightened society, where women are afforded the same privileges as men. Women may own property, serve on the Emperor's council, join the army, etc. However, for all their inclusiveness, there is no racial equality. Korobukuru and hengeyokai may not hold positions of power and may not own land. While a step above slavery, they are afforded very few rights and are considered second-class citizens.
Primary Exports: Rare woods and spices.
Races: Humans are, by far, the dominant race in Kurusawa. They control the government and are the primary landowners. The korobukuru dwarves live in the mountains and are generally considered barbarians. The Emperor does have a few platoons of korobukuru in his army, however, commanded by human leaders. Hengeyokai are shape-changers that dwell in the forests and are not to be trusted.
