Fate point and demeanor
Fate point are integral to your characters success and survival.
Spending one Fate Point allows a Space Marine to do one
of the following:
• Re-roll a failed test once. The results of the re-roll are final.
• Gain a +10 bonus to a test. This must be chosen before dice are rolled.
• Add an extra Degree of Success to a test. This may be chosen after dice are rolled.
• Count as having rolled a 10 for Initiative.
• Instantly remove 1d10 Damage (this cannot affect Critical Damage).
• Instantly recover from being Stunned.
• Enter Squad Mode without a Cohesion Test.
• Gain a +1 bonus to your Rank for the benefits of a Solo Mode ability.
• Remove one level of Fatigue.
Permanently burning a fate point (lowering your pool maximum) allow you to survive a death if you can give an explanation of how.
In the nature of play by post, you will not regenarate fate point per "game session" neither will acting your demeanor (both personal or your chapter's) give fate point bonus.
Instead, you will regain spent fate point regularly in the story by (always with my approval):
-Acting on your demeanor in a way that his entertaining and impactful on the game.
-Accomplishing major personal or mission objectives
-Doing something particularly heroic or badass.
Please mention to me when you consider your roleplay or action could be worth a fate point, i will do my best, but I may not remember all the demeanors or I may miss to see some opportunities by distraction.
Finally, it is possible to increase your max pool of fate point, but it'll only happen in the most rare and exeptional circumstances, if ever.
