Numenera Box Set Kickstarter

Nov 22, 2014 11:24 pm
If anyone has been looking at getting into Numenera for their local game group, it's a great time to do it! Monte Cook Games has a Kickstarter campaign for a deluxe box set for their Numenera game setting at this Kickstarter page. If you have some extra holiday cash (or a credit card) the $350 level gets you everything in the Kickstarter, plus everything Numenera-related that MCG releases in 2015. What a value!

I saw Monte Cook tweet this out. I'm definitely picking up a package, either the books one, or the everything pack.

I ended up backing at the reliquary level. Probably give my current stuff to my son so that he can try and introduce the game to his dorm mates. (Sending him off with a Strange core book next weekend when he goes back after Thanksgiving).

The Kickstarter just hit it's eighth stretch goal! Anyone who backs at the Reliquary or Superfan level gets all the stretch goals added to their box set. With thirteen days left, there is plenty of time to hit another two or three stretch goals!

I am so close to clicking the back button on this one. Still just can't get over acquiring 3 new RPG rule sets in such a short period of time.

This just might turn into to good of a deal.

I'm afraid I will turn into That Guy that has shelves of gaming books but never gets to game :(

Your kids just need to get old enough to understand dice probability. That's an opportunity to be another DM Dad!

That is the plan and I have three of them to train. That is a whole party!

If I can get the Misses to play we will have almost a full party in my house as well. Though the chances of that happening are minimal unless my kids really get into it.

I will make sure they are into it :-)

I went ahead and backed it because... damn, that's a lotta stuff you get for $100. Back it. Get a lot of stuff.

I pulled the trigger as well. Just couldn't give up that much cool stuff even though it will probably sit on my shelf for a while before it gets played.

I'm starting to wonder how they're going to actually fit all of the stuff in the box!

This is a ridiculous deal that keeps hitting stretch goals! It's almost over, get in now while you can!!!

Just kicked myself up to Superfan level (Merry Christmas to me!)..

Is superman the $350 one? I keep being tempted to get every Monte Cook book in 2015, but I don't think I can justify it.

Yep, it's that one. Superfan gives you all of the new MCG Numenera stuff (print and pdf) that's released until December 2015. First item will be The Ninth World Guidebook which I think comes out in January. I wasn't sure about pulling the trigger on it either, but decided to make it a Christmas present to myself.

I decided not to. With the core one, I'm already getting a TON of stuff, and right now, I don't have a live game group.

One of the stretch goals extended the Superfan timeframe to February 2016 when they're planning to release another big book, I think
