Left to my own devices, I will create an adventure that may or may not confirm to your hopes and aspirations. Before things get tool solid, lay your wishes down and I'll incorporate what I can.

Hopefully we get more players. I think Whtnt and Dejoker might be interested?
I'd like to be a Quick-Flex Operator if possible. A mercenary who owns and drives a vehicle (gained from Operator), perhaps fighting the good fight for the Tomorrow Legion against the Coalition. This would be a character already made from a previous game that never got off the ground. He already has 20 Experience Points and the four advances as part of the M.A.R.S package so he begins play as a Seasoned Rank character. But I am open to any setting where he would fit. If this works, would it be ok to keep the M.A.R.S Table rolls he already made which are already built into the character and back story? (I promise I really rolled the dice :-) )

Hi Qralloq, too bad Lady Tarot and Day Dalliance didn't get a chance to role play more in the Aberrant game. Interesting characters in that game all around. Was looking forward to the meeting with the Sharkman.
I like exploration, seeing things, learning aspects of the world, enjoying role playing with players and NPCs. I also enjoy the nature of power within the world. The many factions, a chance to meet people, see interesting things/creatures.
The open nature of Savage Worlds over Palladium I like with edges really making interesting and unique characters.
Currently the books are set for North America and I am ok with that. There is plenty to see and experience in NA.
Pecos Empire and badlands, Dinosaur Swamp, The New West, The dirty burbs, the enchanted Federation of Magic, the blighted city of Tolkeen. Lot's going on in NA.

Operators are great you will always have a job. They are valuable people on Rifts Earth.
Surprised you didn't go Technowizard. Have some steam powered robot vehicle.

I love the idea of travel, exploration, and movement. In high school, I read the heck out of a series called Deathlands. The first book, Pillgramage to Hell started off with the main characters in the employ of The Trader, a trader who travelled from one post-apoc burg to another, trading weapons, gas, medicine, etc. Adventure and danger ensued.

Exploration sounds really good. I...don't know much about the setting so I'm not going to be good on that front but BOI am I going to be able to hopefully rp well. Maybe build the lack of knowledge into the character somehow, like with my v5 character

A Battle Beyond the Rifts. The Rifts act as portals to dimensions beyond the stars and,
sometimes, beyond reason. Somehow you wound up on one of countless worlds or planes
of existence, or you’re a native of that other world, and you were pulled into this new world
where you struggle to find your way, with the Legion’s help.
Man the narrative hook could not have been better for this character !
Conservation of magical energy is an incredibly powerful talent. Your hero gains
the Channeling Edge.
Magic users benefit from a variety of spells. Your hero gains either the New Powers
Edge or any one power normally unavailable (except resurrection).
Hmmm I guess those are ok.

Ok cool they have edges all their own too, pretty cool ones, hmmm I guess I should say pretty hot ones.
Dec 12, 2019 6:46 pm
OK there are five stats
Agility
Smarts
Strength
Spirit
Vigor
They all start at D4 and you have 5 points to distribute to them each point raises a die type by 1.
D6 is considered average for a human.

Question: when I roll on the tables, can I split my 3 dice over the two tables I can choose from? Or do I have to choose one and use all 3 dice on that one?

Time for rolls

Question: as a burster, what are my main stats? I assumed Psionics...but the edges require spirit
Dec 12, 2019 8:16 pm
Hmmmm Psionics are linked to Smarts I think so smarts should be a good stat for you.
Dec 12, 2019 8:27 pm
Sending character to game and will type up back ground but it will definitely have to do with that narrative hook.

Oh Melanqulia, try to have a psionics D8 or possibly D10.
It will really help out if you plan using them a lot.

Hey guys, I'm still at work right now but I'd probably play a juicer. Always loved those. He'll be from Free Quebec.
Dec 12, 2019 11:40 pm
Good we dont have a true warrior so that is a really good add and they have different types of Juicers as edges.

So, I don't have any particular preference for plot, but I do ask the that game go light on dice-rolling since PbP gets bogged down mightily once people start throwing dice. Something like trying to escape from a vastly superior force, for example. We may fight them, but more than likely we'll need to roll checks to figure out how to evade them. Just an idea, not necessarily something we need to do.

I've got a starter adventure ready to go. We'll start en route, and we can work out the details of setting as we go.
Setting details such as, did you want to be based in Castle Refuge or a unique burg we build together.

Unique burgh sounds great.
Castle refuge is supposed to have these popping up around it. What do we want to name it ? What is the topography of the Ozarks like ?

I still have to read who we are so I'm not currently really equipped for this conversation.
Dec 13, 2019 1:38 pm
Without worrying about historical or geographical accuracy, let's each of us develop something about the base town that is unique. Write it in a private Note to me and I'll combine them after we've all written something. Doesn't have to be long, even a few descriptive words can be gold. Lastly, if you want to use this to build a tie in for why your character is there, that's great, too.

Melanqolia, I can try and help.
The Tomorrow Legion is a new faction. (There was a major war on the continent between the Coalition States and Tolkeen. It ended with Tolkeens loss but not without serious losses to the Coalition States.) All those refugees from the kingdom of Tolkeen were searching for a place to go. On there march to find a new homeland they found a castle. (Built by dwarves from another world) As luck would have it the Dwarves took the refugees in. Instead of just using the place as a temporary stop for the refugees, some far sighted powerful people decided to make it a home. As many tried to rebuild the world using the past they wanted to focus on the future and thus the Tomorrow Legion was born at Castle Refuge.
That is all greatly simplified of course.
