This is the current map of Far Reach as posted on a wall within the Garrison so while your characters are aware of it they themselves do not have a map unless they wish to purchase one and maps are not cheap

Far Reach is a region within the Realms very far removed from anything else civilized thus its name. However, it has recently become a great source of all kinds of minerals and as such several kingdoms have signed an agreement of non-hostility and have sent miners and warriors to help protect those miners. For there are many strange things in and about Far Reach and some of them are down right hostile. Still it has also become a magnet for treasure seekers, every since it became known that great rewards lie hidden away in that very remote locale.

Far Reach is nestled in a large valley just south of a small section of the Great Barrier Peaks which is a very long and impassable mountain range whose tops cannot be seen because they extend above a perpetual cloud layer that hangs over them. Another issue that makes the Peaks even more inhospitable is there be dragons there. In fact no one creates any sort of permanent residence
within 200 miles of the entire range of the Peaks as this is about the maximum range of a foraging dragon. However, interestingly enough though, no dragon has been sighted in or near Far Reach. So they are either very well hidden or they are not in that area of the Peaks for some reason.

The southern edge of Far Reach consist of the Cliffs of Insanity that are is a sheer wall of jagged rock that extends straight up some 500 to 900 feet to the Sky Plateau. The variation in height greatly depends on where one is along the vast wall of jagged rocks. Far Reach is actually reached from the Sky Plateau through Titan's Cleave a jagged gash in the Sky Plateau that greatly resembles a nasty wound that might have just have been inflicted by Titan's Greatsword. This leads to raised interior plateau that is some 300 to 400 feet above majority of Far Reach. Here is where the Boareskyr Bridge is located spanning some 800 feet across wide river called the Winding Waters and drops some 400 feet from one end to the other giving safe gentle slopping access to the lower regions of Far Reach. Located on the south end of Boareskyr Bridge is Southbridge Village which has basically become a protected staging area for goods flowing to and from the mines located further north.

Boareskyr Bridge Upper Plateau

The upper plateau where Southbridge village is located is rocky and uneven with patches of tillable land closer to the north edge of the plateau. The ground gradually slopes upwards the closer one gets to the Cliffs of Insanity but it is hard to tell due to how dramatically the ground undulates and while there are trees spotting the terrain there are no solid groupings of them.
