Play Rules/Guidelines

Are there any specific rules or guidelines anyone would suggest for the game to run as smooth as possible? I know each system has its own little quirks and each game possibly has its own tweaks to gaming etiquette and whatnot. So, basically are there any rules or guidelines that you would like for this game?

Example:
1.) I will draw cards for initiative for all players when required.

Thanks!

Yes Example 1 as it would speed things along, it is working in the Savage Rifts game.

Oh great. Feel free to pass along any rules that assist in the play from there! I’d be curious. Just trying to avoid any potential pitfalls from the experience you folks already have.

Concerning Bennies:

I was thinking since this is sort of a one-shot Adventure to just limit the initial Bennie count to the number of Bennies at start. Sort of treating this as in we would play this in one sitting. This of course does not include extra bennies earned, awarded, gained, etc...

Formating:

Isn't it common for Character speech to be "in Bold and between quotations?"

and Character thoughts to be in italics?

and of course
OOC:
OOC is easy with the OOC button! :)
Just making sure I'm on the same page with everyone.

I use quotes but only Bold when speaking loudly etc

Ok. Good to know. Does everyone use that normally? Should we make it somewhat uniform do you think or just use "quotes"?

I like using "bold and quotes" for speech. Some games use "color and quotes" but I prefer bold.
I'll go along with whatever the group decides

I've always done black bold and quotes for speech. And bd all-caps for yelling.

I also prefer bold convention for speech, italics for internal dialogue but happy to do whatever

Bold quotes for speech, and italics for internal monologue. I'm a writer, so it's habit to use quotations.

It is a safe bet here I think. Most of us wouldn't have to tweak our own variations to abide by this. Let us make this the standard for clarity's sake. :)

The only other thing I would say is to give each character involved in a scenario a chance to respond...myself included. I think that goes without saying, but I'm more-so telling myself that as well! lol
