You can post backgrounds, descriptions, and photos of your characters here. Backgrounds don't have to be anything crazy, just give us all a little somethin' somethin' about what makes your character tick.

The half-elf woman Nevaerys is called 'the Hammer' both in the guild and among those who are in the business of crime or fighting it. She would look in her thirties as a human ages, but her half-elf blood has granted her an extended life, and she is actually in her seventies. She is a former army officer who at the conclusion of the last war became a relentless and uncompromising enforcer of order. A favored quote of hers heard often in the guild is 'a little fear keeps a good man on the narrow path' and it is by this motto that she lives. She does not just hunt and capture lawbreakers, she makes the added effort to instill fear into them, or to make a worrying example out of those who do not repent.

Behind this hard-liner exterior the guild members, especially those who share her beliefs for a well-ordered crime-free society, is what one might describe a typical ex-soldier; Nevaerys likes drink, play cards (she often wins) and telling tales of heroics and folk she met throughout her exceptionally long life, like a grandmother who is still in her prime. Monster hunting is a bit of a sidetrack for her but without a war to fight and local crime suitably crushed into submission she needed a new outlet for her boundless energy.

In appearance she did little to change anything since she was a soldier; she still has her army-issued armor (an officer's privilege, as her rank is still active) and dresses mostly in black. Her weapon of choice is a black flail and she carries a shield stylized into a skull. She wears an amulet depicting the All-Seeing-Eye of Helm, a feature repeated on the palms of her gauntlets. Her hair is black and cut short in the military style and decades of conflict have made her lean and muscular. Even the most naive would notice she is a veteran of conflict at a glance.

Darrek is a dwarf that joined the Order of the Lycan since a werebear had killed his wife. He gave up a simple mining life to hunt creatures that are now like him. He still wears a wedding band and has never considered taking another bride. He chose to become a werebear to understand how they think so he may one day destroy the one that destroyed his family.

My name is Thaddeus Gold, Acolyte Warlock of the Raven Queen Temple. I do not know my parents. I was raised in the Temple as a human with no name, no meaning, no future. I was cleaning out the Temple archives one day when I found a book that spoke to me, literally. It summoned me to it. It said it was the Raven Queen and she had chosen me to spread her knowledge to the world. She even gave me a name and told me of my true self - the self that was descended from the Angels, the self that was born to defend the Raven Queen and her followers. I am Thaddeus Gold, the Chosen.

Zook is a rock gnome, standing around 3' tall. He wears common clothes with a backpack, but he carries a thick hardcover book with him at all times, along with what appears to be a twig.

'Ello! I have loads of names, but the Guild knows me as Zook Wizblock Peppernickle (you can call me Zook, Wizblock, Wiz, Block, or anything else that strikes your fancy). I, uh, study the applications of magic, you might say. I used to think I wanted to be a sage, so I left my home to head off and try to find a mentor. On the way there, though, I was attacked, well and true, by a bear! Well, I panicked and threw up a Shield, and it worked! Really made me think about how relatively impractical all my studies were, and more importantly how practical they could be if a refocused. So I spent a while wandering around, helping people here and there, until I made a little bit of a name for myself. Someone reccommended I join the Guild, and I figured it'd be a good way to practice and to help people out, so here I am!

Despite his childlike name, demeanor, and curiosity about the world, you've learned over your year of knowing Zook not to underestimate the breadth of his knowledge. He spends most of his time either studying his spells or trying to find people to nerd out with over magic - the rest he spends relaxing, playing lighthearted pranks, and listening to other people talk about their passions, whatever those may be. He helps out around the guild identifying magic items, as well, and you can tell when he's doing so by his cries of "Oh! Coooooool!"

I am Alberio Ashriven of Evermeet, a high elf Bladesinger. My only true calling is to protect any Elven soul I encounter who is in need of help. I am like the wind. I come and go without being seen and only felt when my edge stings you. I change directions on a whim and can never be controlled or tied down. I can be a gentle caress or a terrible nightmare. Is there any wonder I think so much of myself? After all, I am a high elf of Evermeet.

In battle, Bhelram Trollbleeder is a screaming, spiky, angry ball of ouch. Out of battle, he's just a rather dumb dwarf. Part of the Kuldjargh (literally "axe idiot"), he has been trained in the use of their signature spiked armor.
In the last war, the Kuldjargh were part of the frontlines. Toss a few angry, spiky axe idiots into the enemy ranks and they will make a path to the backlines. Then the cavalry can storm through an wreak further havoc. Pretty effective.

After the war, Bhelram left the Kuldjargh to find action elsewhere. He craved the rush of battle too much to sit around idly. He started normal mercenary work and later joined the guild.
When not on a mission, Bhelram would be seen taking care of his weapons and spiked armor. His own hygiene is of secondary concern to him, which often leaves the picture of a dirty dwarf in clean armor, at least at the beginning of battle.
He also sometimes can be found playing cards with other guild mates, although his lack of intellect doesn't do him a favor in this area.

Ah, what to say about Darmel. Well, as a High Elf, he was once a respected scholar/academic with a bright future ahead of him until, the day he tried to prove the existence of a very strange creature. Now we all know that monstrosities exist but, no one believed him about this particular one and an entire class of Academics set out to discredit him. He was ejected from all the great libraries and universities. With his academic career over, he set out on a new quest, to locate, document and/or kill all monstrosities. That has led him down his path as a Monster Hunter Ranger. Searching, finding and engaging all sorts of creatures.

Cort stands 5'8" and 160#. She has sandy blond/brown hair and baby brown eyes. Usually found in chain mail by presence. She is known to be violent and is rather handy with a sword. She is much a tom boy and not at all a lady.

She came in town one day from the wilds. Appears she done some trapping and such to live. She isn't a city folk at all and prefers not to be indoors really. Some think her to be druidical perhaps. She is known to be able to produce light and fire when she wishes. She glad has become a monster hunter.
