Determine a Degree for each of your 6 Traits:
- either Often ([][][]), Occasionally ([][]), or Rarely ([]).
- Degrees are not set for Traits based on a "scale of proficiency", but how often you use them irl.
--EXERTIVE TRAITS--
Assertiveness: Measures your willingness to speak your mind or stand up for yourself or others.

Determination: Measures your willingness to not give up in the face of adversity or hardship.

Influence: Measures your ability to earn trust from others through your presence and social skills alone.

Let someone else evaluate your Traits:
- You may swap out as many of the other person's evaluations with your own as you desire.
- The following are some "PbP friendly" ways for players new to this forum to complete this step.
(Forum) Group Evaluation:
- Post your Trait's Degrees in the Group Evaluation Thread found here within the Quick Rules Subforum.
- Other players will use the example given there for reference on how to help evaluate your Traits.

(Irl) Partner Evaluation:
- Find one person who knows you quite well irl to help evaluate your Trait's Degree for you.
- Do not show them your own results until they have finished their evaluation.

(PM) Partner Evaluation:
- Message me and I will be happy to pair up with you and help evaluate your Trait's Degrees.
- I will be asking you questions based on the example given on the Group Evaluation Thread.
- You may visit the Group Evaluation Thread for reference, but this is not necessary if you wish to pair up with me for your evaluation.

Determine Impulses & Reservations:
- For each Trait, record each Impulse or Reservation it acquires.
- If you have a higher Degree in a Trait, it will likely acquire an Impulse.
- If you have a lower Degree in a Trait, it will likely acquire a Reservation.

Determine your starting Gear and Resources:
- Determine the type of Gear and Resources you will be establishing based off of the Jumping Off Point (found in the thread named Session 0: Setup)
- Gear and Resources added must be small enough/light enough to be carried in your personal Inventory.
- Items that carry things like "backpacks" do not count as Gear and are assumed to be already worn and take up no Inventory space.
Gear:
- Gear is any item that cannot deplete over time that makes actions they can be applied to easier to perform, often by providing the player with the use of Advantage (explained in more detail in the Checks thread found here in the Quick Rules subforum) on the roll they are about to perform.

Resources:
- Resources are items that are finite, and deplete as they are used.
- Resources have AMT (or Amount) which portrays how much of it can be used before it runs dry and is depleted.
- Every time a Resource is used on an action, its AMT is reduced by -1.
- Your character can only hold a total of 6 AMT of any one Resource.
- All Resources established in character creation start with 4 out of 6 AMT.

Inventory:
- Inventory represents how many different individual pieces of Gear and Resources a player can carry.
- Your Inventory is divided into 3 different types of Inventory Slots that hold different sized items: Small, Medium, and Large.
- Gear that can be easily be combined with the Resource that powers it (like a phone and its battery), allow you to store both in a single Inventory Slot.
- Smaller items can be stored in larger slots if need be, but this is considered wasteful. Only one item can be carried in each Inventory Slot, no matter the size of that item.

Small Slots
- Carry any Gear or AMT of a Resource no larger than an apple that is also light enough that it can be carried with ease.
- There are a total of 4 Small Slots.

Medium Slots
- Carry any Gear or AMT of a Resource larger than an apple, but small/light enough that it does not have to be carried on your back.
- There are a total of 2 Medium Slots.

Large Slots
- Carry any Gear or AMT of a Resource that is so large or so heavy that it can only be carried on your back.
- There are a total of 2 Large Slots.
