AD&D Classics Mega-Campaign

This mega-campaign begins with the classic Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh and goes from there. Assuming that it lasts long enough, we will eventually culminate with Queen of the Demonweb Pits! The ruleset will be OSRIC (AD&D 1E) which can be found for free (and legally) at https://osricrpg.com/files/osric_core_rules.pdf. In the event of disputes, this campaign will default to the OSRIC rules, since they are freely available and not everyone may have the 1E ruleset. Six slots are available and it is first come, first served. Please do not apply if you cannot commit to a long-term campaign. This will be largely theater of the mind, since there are fewer tactical decisions to be made.

Yee gads! I am so tempted!
I could bring out my very first character "Nivroin" the human fighter...
(*his major accomplishment was to make repeated saves against paralysis so that he could fight the carrion crawler. the rest of his party was paralyzed and if he fell... they would be doomed at the front door of the dungeon.)
I did dabble in other classes as time passed;
The human female cleric "faith", was a follower of Lathander the morning lord.
(*She'd been a box o' bandaids, for most of her career until we'd hit a room with a green slime. She was the only one to escape the 1d4 rounds till death... because the dying wizard got angry and blasted her with a burning hands spell. Hrmph, fire... who knew?)
The Halfling thief "Eh'Thell" had a 19 Dex and was the luckiest thief I ever had in 1e.
(*until her luck ran out... in "the dungeons of the slave lords" She was the first to be defeated by a dart coated with sleep poison. She barely survived the torture, during the captivity. Bad rolls when trying to escape the kobold warren sent her wounded and bleeding back to her cell.)
My last 1 Ad&D character was made with the brown "Splatbook", the complete psionicist handbook by Steve Winter. He was a human with a 13 strength, 16 Dexterity, an 11 Constitution, a 14 intelligence, a 15 wisdom, and 13 charisma.
(*It was very hard to find a group that would let me play a psionicist at the time, so much prejudice and angst; even though my character was a Clairsentience focused survivalist/mountaineer; Precognition, Danger sense, Safe path, and combat precognition. He'd managed to get decent stat rolls, but the only one that provided a bonus was his dex I think.)

I played AD&D 1e for many years starting in 1978. I'd love to get back into it. I've sent an app.

I would love to get into this. I've put in an app. I'll wait to coordinate with other players though before deciding on anything.

Interested and applied. I have a character I rolled for one of Tani's defunct campaigns: Cynara, the half-elven fighter /cleric of Istus.

Would that work?

That's fine, Mamaisan.
