This thread is for discussing runekyndig's character please do not post anything here that is not related to runekyndig's character and yes collaborating with runekyndig is consider fair postings.

Please make your rolls in here and outline what your are doing so that I can give you feedback on the world. Do note though this game borrows heavily from the Forgotten Realms so you can use information from that setting to outline your background.

Adjusted Sub-Race: Eldarin as per written in the DMG I feel it outstrips the other sub-races and overlaps with the High Elf a bit too much for my taste.

Fey Step
The character can innately invoke the Misty Step spell once using this trait. They regain the ability to do so when they finish a long rest. They gain additional uses of this ability for every 4 levels that they gain (5th, 9th, etc...). In order to perform this trait the character must possess a special acorn from their home realm. If the acorn is lost they must perform a ritual to summon another which requires various reagents that must be acquired (per GM discretion).

Note: I will create the reagent list if you wish to continue with this race choice

I agree that the Eladrin is very like the High Elf, and its cool that you offer a different take on it. But I'll stick with the high elf - I need the +1 Int ;)

Background
Maethion is trained in the school of the cat (I am fighting the urge to make references to The Witcher here). He has visions of darkness spreading over the land, a darkness that has to be stopped at its source. His masters agreed that he should leave the compound to identify this darkness.
He was given a familiar that would follow and aid him, as well as communicating with the masters when they saw the need.

I am thinking that he has a special familiar, but game-wise its just a reskin of an existing type. Like a pixie, with an owls stats. What do you think?

Okay if we go with that background (which I see as fine) you ought to weave that into your Personality either putting it under Traits, Ideals, Bonds and/or Flaws -- aka it being a driving element it could occupy more than one category and probably should in some way.

Other then figuring out a familiar, I think he is good to go. I would like a winged cat, it does have starts, and perhaps it is not to overpowered compared to the owl, but the main reason got the cat is just to illustrate that he is pure high elf, and not a human domesticated elf. I want him to be a bit different, and the armor (see earliere image) and the familiar would underline this.

Well Leaf Leather would be more Elven than Masterwork Leather if you are wanting to go more pure elf oriented as they are where Leaf Leather came from

I am thinking that he is part of, or have applied for, the Green Knights, the paladins who have taken the oath of the ancients. He has left his people to prove to his masters, the Green Knights (and him self) that he can bring light into the world
