Rebirth - MHR (Cortex Variant) Needs 1 Player

We've got a spot open in an ongoing game using MHR. We're not using the canon Marvel universe nor most of the characters. You'll also be creating your own character, not a Marvel one. The basic premise is this:

The bad guy won. For nearly a century, the world was controlled by a mastermind and his army of robotic minions. Finally, though, a group of heroes rose up and fought back, taking him down, but giving their lives in the process. In the wake of any real authority, things are trying to get back to normal, but the power vacuum is attracting new villains and new heroes are needed to step up in the place of those that were lost.

The game is set in Seattle, following a new group that's associated with a program that helps cops and supers work together.

Currently we have:
-- Gloom: shadow magic user
-- Vergence: technomancer
-- Razzledazzle: master of illusions

There's sort of a magic/tech light/dark theme going, but you don't have to necessarily stay with that. Help will be provided for character creation for people who don't know the system.

I would be up for it. I've only ever played Smallville/Cortex Plus Drama but I'd love to try out Heroic.

How much backlog is there to catch up with? ;)

I'm keeping it mostly episodic, to emulate comic book issues, and we're on issue #2. As far as what your character should know, it would essentially be getting brought in by the team's police liaison as backup. Then, if you wanted to read the current issue, you're looking at five fairly easy thread pages.

Marvel Heroic Roleplaying is even a bit easier then Drama and has some good rules variance on earning that games plot points.
