This thread is for discussing valdattaMadun's character other players should only post to this in regards to valdattaMadun's character and story collaboration is included within that.

When outlining your please post the following:

Step 1: Background (okay basically your story)

Step 2: Choose (or outline) the following :
.....Starting Duty : 5 (from Age of Rebellion)
.....Starting Obligation : 25 (from Edge of the Empire)
.....Starting Morality : 50 (from Force and Destiny)
..........Now the above 3 things have aspects that need to be rolled (and/or chosen but prefer if you rolled at least until you got something that fit the concept unless you really feel strongly about one of them) for each and these need to outlined in your Step 2 -- a Note here for Obligation you can assign the 25 to one Obligation or split it among more than one depending on what you feel your character should have

Also in this step if you check I have altered the choices as follows:
...Choose 4 of the following (cannot choose the same one twice)
--OR--
...Choose 2 of the following (cannot choose the same one twice)

So please explicitly list what you chose for this

Step 3: Select Species -- here just out line the crunch bits that are associated with your the Species you chose along with the Species :)

Step 4: Choosing a Career -- please outline what you did in this step

Step 5: Choosing Specializations -- please outline what you did in this step

Step 6: Invest Character Generation XP -- please outline what you did in this step

Step 7: Determine Derived Attributes (if you know how)

Step 8: Determine Motivations

Step 9: Character Generation Gear & Appearance

Step 10: Post-Character Creation XP Expenditures

Step 11: Post-Character Creation Gear

Are there any rules on mixing and matching corebooks? Like a wookie Jedi warrior or a Cerean Smuggler?

No all the races are available for all the classes some are just better at somethings than others are --- keep in mind this is a Rebel Alliance friendly group

So I am working on a concept I think I like but might need some help fleshing it out:

Kleto Drostome is a Zabrak male born and raised on Fondor. His family, part of a small colony of Zabrak that has existed there for generations working in factories to make their way in the galaxy. Living in poverty to begin with, when the Empire took control of Fondor as a primary place to build star destroyers didn't help any.

Kleto, like many finding themselves under harsh Imperial rule, found himself drawn to the Rebellion. After being recruited and transported to the jungle moon of Nallastia, he thrived in the alliance. Specifically when it came to combat and tactics.

Essentially from there he was part of various Rebel missions and adventures.

This is what I have, not sure how much more I would need to flesh out.

He is a Zabrak, Soldier/Commando.
Duty: Intelligence
Obligation: Responsibility
Morality: Bravery/Anger

I am still working on assigning XP and Gear but I wanted to make sure I am on the right track so far.

You will probably want to increase that rebel alliance Duty which denotes you are more than a raw recruit or come up with a reason why you have not

So far I am just in the "Creation" phase of it.

My thought was getting the "Contribution Rank/Reward" of Post Creation to bring him up and maybe use some of the XP to raise the Duty as well.

My understanding is essentially Duty is sort of like an "XP" for Contribution Rank with the Alliance and I could maybe add in a "recent promotion" to explain the low Duty but the acquired Rank up? Does that sound right?

Yes that sounds fine -- just wanted to be sure you had it on your agenda was all --- also while that is sort of group oriented I have made more individual oriented

I might have to start a totally different storyline for you in a solo adventure would be okay with a solo adventure?

I would be. I think it might actually help me ease my way in as well honestly.

With the Commendation Rank up, does that get extra gear as well

edit to be more specific:

Like with only one Commendation Rank, what kind of rarity should I be looking at? I was thinking an upgraded armor or something that like.

Sorry I am going to write up some of this as well but how do you want writing down our Spec Talent trees? Just verbally in the notes writing up "Went from Toughened to Physical Training to Durable..." or are you just going to trace it out youself/we keep track of

What about Alliance Light Stealth Armor?

I figure that Kleto has had some recent mission that are less direct battle and stealth oriented so he got issued this around the time he started working on his "Sharpshooting"

I will look into that they give guidelines on what might be acceptable ;) for each Rank
