Group Discussion

So unless anyone objects, I will go ahead and assume that the group concept is Free Traders.

Based on that, I assigned a ship to your crew. It's a Scarab-class light freighter. It's a good ship for free trader crews and has, I think, a very "Firefly" feel to it. When I get a chance, I will post all of the ship's features and systems.

So just to double check, is everyone cool with the group,as follows:

Group Concept: Free Traders

Group Talent: Everything is for Sale

Group Patron: Khadija Jubal

Group Nemesis: Khalim Jubal

As far as crew positions, it looks like Brahim (ed...) will cover engineer. 78RPMLife, being the data whiz, makes sense as the sensor operator. Squadfather44 can be pilot. So that just leaves gunner and captain.

In regards to the captain position, I will leave it up to you all whether you want to fill that position or not. Some player groups don't work well with one player calling the shots; it can sometimes cause friction. Other groups handle it without a problem. The captain position isn't necessary; your crew might choose to work very informally and come to decisions by vote. Alternately, the captaincy might only take effect during combat situations. Up to you to discuss.

All of that works for me.

SOLD! That works for me, I'm definitely up for being the pilot. As for the Captain...we can go with the majority vote in most situatiins. When combat hits, one of us can step up.

Though very late, everything sounds good to me :D
I guess even if there is a captain on "paper", the decisions can still be democratic. I mean, pirates had captains and they were pretty much not authoritarian (I won't say democratic though they mostly were from the looks of it). We can haver just someone that is the point of contact, the tie breaker or the one that makes the split second decision when discussing is not an option.
