Hm... seems like you're using IE. Can I suggest a better browser, such as Firefox, Chrome or Opera? There are other choices too.

If you wanna stick with IE, or can't switch, I'll warn you right now, while most of this site should work with IE, stuff might come up buggy, so you might not enjoy it as much...

Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden

D&D WotC Site | D&D Beyond

In Icewind Dale, adventure is a dish best served cold.

Beneath the unyielding night sky, you stand before a towering glacier and recite an ancient rhyme, causing a crack to form in the great wall of ice. Beyond this yawning fissure, the Caves of Hunger await. And past this icy dungeon is a secret so old and terrifying that few dare speak of it. The mad wizards of the Arcane Brotherhood long to possess that which the god of winter’s wrath has so coldly preserved—as do you! What fantastic secrets and treasures are entombed in the sunless heart of the glacier, and what will their discovery mean for the denizens of Icewind Dale? Can you save Ten-Towns from the Frostmaiden’s everlasting night?

Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden is a tale of dark terror that revisits the forlorn, flickering candlelights of civilization known as Ten-Towns and sheds light on the many bone-chilling locations that surround these frontier settlements.

I, for one, am pumped for this! :) For context, my avatar is my in-person PC that I've played for a long time. The similarities here are pretty great. :)

When I saw this post, I thought it was an interest check originally. Too bad it's not xD
I'm not really familiar with Icewind Dale but I've been in one game in that setting on here and it was fun. I still miss my PC from that game :'(

I was part of a two year long PbP campaign based on IWD here on GP and it was amazing. Really looking forward to this!

Word is its horror themed, and its partially inspired by things like Alien, The Thing, At the Mountains of Madness, and other horror tales. All of these are sooooooo much good news to me.

Lovecraft? I'm already there.
My favourite Lovecraft story? I was always there.

I pre-ordered it on D&D Beyond, so we’ll definitely get into it when it comes out.

This one is going to be so hard to decide whether I get the original cover or the special edition. The art is so good on both!

That is cool! Reminds me of a setting called Hellfrost.

I'm quite looking forward to this too. I really like adventures in barren landscapes.

...apparently it's a horror adventure. Horror relies on suspense and I'm not sure how well that works in PBP. But I have a hankering to run a ready-made, so this might fit the bill.

Sorry, Adam

It doesn't matter. It doesn't come out for another three months. I'll have forgotten this conversation by then.
