Getting Dragged to Another World (Dylan)

Dylan's got some big news for his best friend Anthony that night, one big bad news. He just broke up with his girlfriend, or was it the other way around. Who dumped who I wonder? We're sure Dylan wants to spill all the details but that can wait. Allow this narrator to make Dylan's night worse (or better).

When Dylan got home, he saw Anthony's light open. He knew he is still awake at this hour for that exam he needed to take later in the morning. How diligent, right? He opened the door to their apartment and saw Dylan open the fridge. He too got engulfed by that bright light. Blinded for a few moments, when he opened his eyes he was not on the apartment anymore.

Alien abduction? Not really. He found himself inside a wooden cabin, an abandoned wooden cabin. There was nothing other than cobwebs and broken floorboards. The roof's got holes too. It was morning. What happened last night? Did he doze off and sleepwalk somewhere? Was he too hungover like Nel that he found himself in this place the morning after? Dylan can not be sure.

Where was he anyway? Aside from those questions he should be wondering about one more thing. That hologram screen in front of him. Written on it were some text and numbers:
The other strange thing for Dylan, he knew what the text meant.

After pressing the hologram screen, the number beside PRE changed to 2. Dylan felt something, like he somehow became more charismatic and confident. After a few moments the numbers and letters on the screen disappeared and then new words popped out...
The word free caught Dylan's eyes and for some reason it felt like he could change this word to something he knew or love.

After Dylan finished allocating skill points, the text vanished and then two boxes appeared on the screen, a grey one and a blue one. In the blue box was an icon of a man pointing his index finger forward as if leading an attack. Written beside it was the text: Seize Initiative.

On the grey box, the text "[ BLANK ]" was written. At first you were not sure what it meant but when you looked at it you felt strange and as you stare at it the word began to glow. Dylan began to see an image of what he want to become in his head. The "[ BLANK ]" slowly faded and the box's color turned blue. An icon was revealed and letters began to form.

What did Dylan get?

Dylan felt the changes in him as if he was possessed by a real music icon. It felt like he became an instant celebrity. There was no limelight anywhere but it felt like he was basking in it. The sensation was amazing yet it can not drown the sadness and frustration he was feeling when he got dumped by Veronica. His broken heart need time to heal.

The boxes disappeared from the screen and it was replaced by three boxes with text and images on it. On the top part of the screen were the words: "Allocate 5 Power points."

Luck magic. This magic will prevent misfortune from happening to someone. As a reaction, roll a D6 and target someone whose check result is lower than 10+rank. He/she may add the result to the modifier hopefully saving him/her. You may only use this once every round.

Dark Fairy, Veronica Rank 0 (1 point per rank)
Summon a fairy of darkness. You may only use this once a day. Veronica will return back to fairyland after an hour. (Veronica's power increases per rank)

Dylan tried to open the door but as soon as he touched the door knob he went back to where he was standing earlier in front of the holographic screen. He can be sure that he touched the doorknob but now he can doubt Tony has anything to do with this. There's no way Tony could pull off a strange trick like that.

In his head, Dylan could feel the strong suggestion that he should just finish 'allocating' the points.

As soon as he finished clicking on the power screen, the surge of information rushed to head. He felt a strong slap on his face.

Dylan suddenly learned how to cast dark and luck magic. He also learned to summon the dark fairy, Veronica.

The boxes on the screen disappeared and then the words congratulations popped out. Congratulations for what he may ask. One thing he also learned was how to summon the Menu and how to close it. He only need to tap his chest twice to open or close it. There was a limitation though. He can only check it once a day.

The hologram screen disappeared.
