The first lesson one should learn about the internet is nevertrust pop-up ads. They lead you to 'dangerous places' and this time, for the man named Yamasaki Sho, it didn't lead to sign up forms but rather to a whole new place (literally).

Sho could hear the sound of a flowing river gradually getting louder as the bright light that engulfed him gradually fade. The seat he was in a few moments ago was replaced by a wood stump. The sun was high up in the sky and the breeze gently ruffled the leaves of trees surrounding him.

VR? Sho found himself in the middle of a forest beside a river. It was night time where he was a few moments ago but now it is high noon.

Is this the promised better world? He can confirm that later but for now he had to deal with one strange detail about this place: that blue hologram screen in front of him. Written on it were some text and numbers:
The other strange thing for Sho, he knew what the text meant.

After pressing the hologram screen, the number beside AWA changed to 2. Sho felt something, like his senses somehow became sharper. After a few moments the numbers and letters on the screen disappeared and then new words popped out...
The word free caught Sho's eyes and for some reason it felt like he could change each of this 'free' words to things he knew or love.

After Sho finished allocating skill points, the text vanished and then two boxes appeared on the screen, a grey one and a blue one. In the blue box was an icon of a running athlete wearing a headband. Written beside it was the text: Great Endurance.

On the grey box, the text "[ BLANK ]" was written. At first you were not sure what it meant but when you looked at it you felt strange and as you stare at it the word began to glow. Sho began to see an image of what he want to become in his head. The "[ BLANK ]" slowly faded and the box's color turned blue. An icon was revealed and letters began to form.

What did Sho get?

Sho felt the changes in him as if all the worries he had from the past and for the future are gradually turned to feelings of security and safety.The boxes disappeared from the screen and it was replaced by three boxes with text and images on it. On the top part of the screen were the words: "Allocate 5 Power points."

Bunny Hop, Rank 0 (1 point per rank)
Allows you to jump(teleport) to an unoccupied space you can see within this power's range. You need to run at least 10 steps before you can use this ability. During full moon you can teleport to any place you've been to within range that is under the moonlight. Rabbit hop allows you to teleport with people or creatures you carry with both arms. Rabbit Ears, Rank 0 (1 points per rank)
Extends the range of your hearing for 6 seconds. On a new moon, your senses are heightened and you gain +(Rank) Awareness. (Hearing range increase per rank)

Lapin Mirage, Rank 0 (1 point per rank)
For an hour a day, you can reduce ranks of other abilities(STR, STA, INT...) to increase your AGI. Each rank reduced can increase your agility by one rank to a maximum of (Rank*4). On a full moon, double the increase per rank as well as the maximum limit of this power. (Power increase per rank)

As soon as he finished clicking on the power screen, the surge of information rushed to head and saw the vision of a blood red full moon and the silhouette of a lady with bunny ears and glowing red eyes. Sho learned his new powers and learned of a name that he felt was important: Wenet.

The boxes on the screen disappeared and then the words congratulations popped out. Congratulations for what he may ask. One thing he also learned was how to summon the Menu and how to close it. He only need to tap his chest twice to open or close it. There was a limitation though. He can only check it once a day.

The hologram screen disappeared.
