anybody using sound?
I've started using background noise during my table top games. You know, crowded tavern, coastal village, rain in the forest, etc.
I find it really helps set the mood. I just have a laptop quietly playing in the background, and the sounds fill in the dead spaces when players are lost in thought, without the attention leaving the scene. It's really great, and free!
I hear there are now even "smells" that can be bought to liven up a roll playing session. One step too far for me, but only because they aren't free.
