Hey gang, so I think I FINALLY have the beginnings of an idea for a Shadow of the Beanstalk campaign...
So to get your juices flowing, I wanted to talk about some very basic premises... The world of Android is pretty basic cyberpunk - environmental disaster, super-corporations, large swathes of humanity are massively disenfranchised/the drama focuses on life outside the "normal" corporate society, but Android has perhaps the notable exceptions of fusion-energy being a thing, some pretty heavy transhumanism, and a significant space-travel/early planetary colonization presence (the Moon and Mars).
With that in mind, I want to play up the more traditional cyberpunk aspects of the setting - dystopian, gritty, megacorps/cities, high tech, low life, societal/class disparities, etc. - and downplay the more glitzy, post-scarcity aspects ... but while still using the unique and characteristic aspects of the setting - trans-humanism/androids, the burgeoning interplanetary society, etc.
I would see the group as being mostly members of that fringe, disenfranchised portion of society, and the campaign focusing on trying to transcend that. Folk-heroism, anti-heroism, including flagrant violation of some of greater-society's property laws, etc. :P
Does that sound interesting to ppl?
